James Pearce Jr. arrested again

IkR...this is unreal...regardless on the outcome, James really needs some mental/emotional assistance...I really hope he gets the help he needs...🙏🧡🧡🧡
I hope those women that choose to hang out and associate with him get the help they need.

Wow, it's incredibly sad to see the demise of such a promising career; but this man deserves every single day, month, and year that he receives...
Money isn't a fix to emotional/mental issues; it just allows you to ram your significant other's vehicle and a cop car with a Lambo instead of a civic.

If you're a southerner with questionable decision making and morals, Atlanta is a horrible choice to play professional sports.. That was even accurate 35 years ago with Brett Favre. The worst case was clearly Michael Vick but lest we forget

When I lived in the city in the late 90s , it was still a cool city with reasonably decent leadership and culture. Today, it's like the switch has been flipped. Seems like nearly everyone on the street at night dreams of being a rapper or posse of a rapper.

A city that at one time had a thriving black middle class is now going down the toilet. Everyone in government knows it, but they also know any attempt to fix the problem will lose them their job.

Pierce and other guys with bad reputations from other cities, go to ATL and the brakes are not only off but have been completely removed from the car.

If I were an agent for a athlete with clear behavioral issues, I would actively avoid a list of cities:

Atlanta
Miami
Los Angeles
Las Vegas
New York
Memphis
Dallas

And I certainly would keep them away from their own hometowns

Pearce needed to start over and get away from his past decisions, friends, and family. Atlanta was not that place.

Not saying it’s right or wrong, but salvaging his career is not impossible if he did not actually injure Rickea. Remember Kamara had a felony count of battery that was plead to disturbing the peace. If Rickea wasn’t actually injured and is cooperative, his biggest challenge will probably be hitting the cop with the car. I can see him serving a NFL suspension with a little jail time and getting a chance at redemption. Depends on the details.

I see what you’re saying and it does have merit but if you’re looking for trouble, you can find it just about anywhere.

And I think in this case, he is the trouble and it could have happened anywhere, no matter the city.

Some guys are gonna have issues regardless of their locations

He was gonna be with RJ regardless of where he landed. I’m not putting it on her. Some guys though just can’t handle relationships.

Not defending Pearce or his actions, but a law friend of mine laid it out like this:
2 counts aggravated battery with weapon...one was him crashing his car into hers, the other was hitting the cop
1 count stalking is likely to repeatedly hitting her car with his
1 count fleeing the cops

With a good lawyer, he could get this plead out to 2 counts assault and 1 fleeing.

Little jail time, probation, and likely 1/2 season from NFL

A good lawyer can open up a crack and turn that into “reasonable doubt” or a very favorable plea deal. Hell, Johnny Cochran got OJ off.

However, if I was a betting man…I’d say his NFL career is over.

BUT, hitting a cop during your getaway maybe the straw...
Bro people have done so much worse and still played again in the NFL. The NFL isn’t a church league. There will be some type of punishment but he’ll get another opportunity. The NFL should be the least of his worries. Now if you saying he’s going to jail for the next 10yrs then obviously his career would be over

I’ve seen a couple things on it. Some current players saying there are teams that will take a chance on him. take it for what it’s worth which probably isn’t a whole lot. He has friends still playing in the league and evidently they have spoke with contacts that tell them some teams would be willing to take a chance on him. I do not have a Link or anything. I can’t even remember where I seen it.
