Great read. I enjoyed catching up with our old players.

Since this is the Jakobe Thomas thread. I was reminded how many DB’s have transferred. Guys like Denieko Slaughter, Brandon Turnage, Wesley Walker, DeShawn Rucker. So many of them went from being back-up / rotational players here to being back-up rotational players somewhere else. I didn’t see that any of them have a shot at getting drafted. So are we not paying our back-ups enough, or is this just a case of the “grass is greener”? We haven’t had depth in the secondary in a long time.

90% of these were recruited over and there playing time was going down. They knew it and left. That is what the portal is for. As the coaches try to continuously improve the roster, this has to happen. It is not a “mass exodus “ as some think
