Yeah, im aware if the difference. However i also know that a drug deal takes two parties, therefore before the possession happened, a drug deal took place and JJ was a party in that drug deal.

That said, i could not care less about MJ. I think it should be legal everywhere. But that still doesnt mean it would be against university of ncaa rules and the players should know better

You could use that analogy for almost any elementary school kids. That doesn't mean it's a good analogy.

It's like you are comparing apples to oranges because they are both fruit and round shaped. The similarities stop there.

I think it's fair to judge people by their words.

Passion is like truth serum. He spoke the truth and I have not problem with that, it's the platform he used.

Much like Fulmer, after his second season with no bowl he thought he had enough pull to keep his job and get the Vols rolling again with Boyd coming in at QB. He was wrong.

JJ didn't think posting videos of him blowing off a little steam would get him dismissed. He was wrong.

Live and learn.

He should go to MTSU next year and then go pro the year after that. This is just a bump in the road for him.

Football players that expect and end up in the NFL realize that football is a job and they become an employee.

Attending college and being successful is NOT a right, it is earned through hard work and dedication. Universities have codes of ethics all students must abide by or guess what - they are kicked out. That could mean losing scholarship money that is important to them.

How a student handles college is typically a good indication of whether they can be successful in professional type jobs. I'm assuming that JJ does not plan to work at the local Walmart or McDonalds and is attending college to become a professional in something. As such, hopefully he realizes that this is not acceptable behavior that will help him advance in whatever career he hopes to have.

Your post specifically said "JJ did deal drugs, correct?". That's saying he was dealing drugs. There is a difference. You didn't say JJ was arrested for possession, correct?

This did not work last time. Not going to work this time. Once a player has crossed the line - time to let go.

This sends a clear message that this type of activity will not be tolerated in the AD. Maybe if this stance had been taken in the past - Tennessee would not be 4-7 right now.

I didnt make the origial post calling him a dealer or gang banger. Im messing around with the comparison on a technicality that to possess drug you must first be involved in a drug deal.

Its funny how evwryone jumps on this stuff. JJ acted like an idiot. Its doesnt mean he should be sentenced to death, kicked out of school and work at McDonald's for the rest of his life. But he had certainly lost the privilege to play football at Tennessee.

Both require being awake and present at some point.

Both are positions that are filled by human beings, not dogs

And, of course, they both operate under an employee/employer understanding in a right-to-work state like TN that you can be fired at any time for speaking your mind by a supervisor who is basically a substitute teacher...oh wait...no that isn't right.

For the life of me, I can't understand why any of you are defending what he did. The video was removed from several sites due to being classified as a "hate speech".

JJ is an incredible football player - but he crossed the line. He has some big time apologizing to do.

I hope he gets another chance, assuming he wants it, but he has to take the first step.
