IU VS BAMA

What stats?
  • Overall FBS Rematches (Since 2000): In 82 same-season rematches, the initial winner won 45 times (54.9%), and the result was split 37 times (45.1%).

What I was replying to:

It is extremely difficult to be a team twice in the same season

- Oregon beat OSU in the regular season last year and then OSU won in the playoffs.
- Bama beat Georgia in the regular season then Georgia beat Bama in the SEC championship.
- OU beat Bama at Bama then a few weeks later Bama beat OU at OU.

So yes....the stats you just quoted don't back up that it's "extremely difficult" to beat a team twice in the same season.

I wish Tennessee had that kind of turnaround. Indiana is the real deal.
While IU has been very impressive, let’s not forget how far CJH has brought UT. The program was a train wreck, he was limited on scholarship (might still be) and he didn’t have a donor with unlimited pockets to use in the transfer portal. He sure seems to have the jimmys and joes but does he have anything offensively or defensively that will give him an advantage when the injury bug hits him?
