huh? Most FL fans think he is the worst QB to ever play the game.
Come on Volnation. Can we just agree that we'll be in the hunt for the SEC Championship game next year, and with the overall talent we have at the quarterback position, I don't envy anyone else's situation over ours ?! How long has it been since we could say that ?!
Being the best QB is about:
(in order)
1. Getting the team into the right play
2. Throwing
3. Running
He's the best at #3, but if he sucks at #1 & #2 (I don't think he sucks), then he's a bad QB.
He has limited arm talent which really impacts our offense. We can't throw it down the field much because we don't trust him to keep us out of trouble. I think the coaches have done a good job of building an offense around his talents, but he's certainly not a great "traditional" QB.
Some of you are saying that he's perfect for the offense, but I think it's the other way around. The offense is built for him... we'd be throwing it around a little more if we had a QB with more accuracy. In other words, I don't think he's perfect for the offense that they want to run.
You continue to show your ass around here acting like the smartest guy in the room..
This time next year we'll see who the best QB in the SEC is.. I TRULY hope it is Dobbs..
I watched Tee play two seasons. And I watched a QB that couldn't hit the broad side of a damn barn throwing the ball. Talk about silly....how in the hell can you say he's light years ahead of Dobbs. Give me something, anything that supports that besides him being surrounded by a team chock full of NFL players and his one afternoon in Columbia, SCar? Anything, give me something.
Tee was a winner who had a penchant for making the big play at opportune times.....in 1998. Go back and refresh your memory with how 1999 played out.
Talent-wise, yes. Kelly was just much more productive last year, primarily he's a better passer. I love Dobbs, but give me the 1500 extra passing yards and 13 more total tds.
I said chad kelly was a better qb than josh dobbs a while back and received the wrath of volnation
Do fumbles play any part? Interceptions thrown? ECT. If Dobbs is the Best QB in the SEC, we should easily be the SEC Champions next year, and Dobbs should easily be drafted by the NFL, as a first pick. I do not think either will happen-not even close.Being the best QB is about:

5 interceptions don't look good when you have 10 fumbles. They also throw the ball a million more times than we do. I doubt Kelly would have that type of passing yardage success on a team that ran the ball more than anyone in the SEC.
Also isn't Chad Kelly the guy who got into a bar fight AFTER being given a second chance by Hugh Freeze.
Intangibles alone make Dobbs the better pick. If Kelly doesn't go pro, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have more off the field issues next year.
