Clausen was the man. Bray & Ainge were talented, but not effectively better than Dobbs. Crompton? Lol. Martin did lead a title team, and Dobbs can next year.

SPV, it is all about throwing some names out there so Dobbs for Heisman can Go off the deep end and then bring out his alter for a few posts

Anyone saying they'd rather have Bray over Dobbs is nuts. Bray > Dobbs in arm strength, and that's it.

Bray was really good on a dysfunctional team. He put up some great numbers and left after his junior year. He could make every throw. Was he immature? Yes, but he was a legit talent

huh? Most FL fans think he is the worst QB to ever play the game.

May be true but unfortuntelly even so he was good enough as a freshmen to lead their 4th quarter comeback in Neyland two years ago. But then again, how much that loss had to do with Harris vs Butch coaching scared is an open question.

Come on Volnation. Can we just agree that we'll be in the hunt for the SEC Championship game next year, and with the overall talent we have at the quarterback position, I don't envy anyone else's situation over ours ?! How long has it been since we could say that ?!

Nah, fighting amongst ourselves about something silly is way more fun than coming together and being excited about next year.

Dobbs is a good QB in his own way. His passing really irritates the piss out of me at times but he makes up for it with his legs. Is he the best passer in the SEC? Absolutely not. Is he the best runner in the SEC? Easily yes. Let's see how he progresses next year as the season goes on before we start making an opinion if he's the best QB in the SEC in 2016.

UGA's passing defense was good this year and Josh threw for 312 yards completing 25 passes with 42 attempts. He threw 3 touch downs and 1 int. When we have to we can pass the ball. The UGA game and last years SC game he made some big time throws under pressure. I'm glad he's on our team.

Being the best QB is about:

(in order)
1. Getting the team into the right play
2. Throwing
3. Running

He's the best at #3, but if he sucks at #1 & #2 (I don't think he sucks), then he's a bad QB.

He has limited arm talent which really impacts our offense. We can't throw it down the field much because we don't trust him to keep us out of trouble. I think the coaches have done a good job of building an offense around his talents, but he's certainly not a great "traditional" QB.

Some of you are saying that he's perfect for the offense, but I think it's the other way around. The offense is built for him... we'd be throwing it around a little more if we had a QB with more accuracy. In other words, I don't think he's perfect for the offense that they want to run.

The way our offense is, #2 and #3 change places.

You continue to show your ass around here acting like the smartest guy in the room..

This time next year we'll see who the best QB in the SEC is.. I TRULY hope it is Dobbs..

That's cause I am. But like most genuises, we get ridiculed for our precocious predictions before being celebrated after we're proven right.

Don't forget. I'll be here next year to accept your apologies.

I watched Tee play two seasons. And I watched a QB that couldn't hit the broad side of a damn barn throwing the ball. Talk about silly....how in the hell can you say he's light years ahead of Dobbs. Give me something, anything that supports that besides him being surrounded by a team chock full of NFL players and his one afternoon in Columbia, SCar? Anything, give me something.

Tee was a winner who had a penchant for making the big play at opportune times.....in 1998. Go back and refresh your memory with how 1999 played out.

How about the fact he held a record for many years for the most completions in a row. Which makes your comment about not hitting the broad side of a barn look incredibly silly.

He looks pretty accurate in this video :loco:

Talent-wise, yes. Kelly was just much more productive last year, primarily he's a better passer. I love Dobbs, but give me the 1500 extra passing yards and 13 more total tds.

They also throw the ball a million more times than we do. I doubt Kelly would have that type of passing yardage success on a team that ran the ball more than anyone in the SEC.

Also isn't Chad Kelly the guy who got into a bar fight AFTER being given a second chance by Hugh Freeze.

Intangibles alone make Dobbs the better pick. If Kelly doesn't go pro, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have more off the field issues next year.

The BEST is subjective at best. What do you mean by BEST??? Most yards passing? Most yards running? Total yardage? Fewest fumbles? Or my favorite GAMES WON. I'm willing to state what gets my vote, it is "W"s more the better.
I need to add, anyone that thinks Dobbs is better than TEE Martin, NEVER saw TEE play, you might say- he won a game or two, Fl and Bama didn't slow him down.

I said chad kelly was a better qb than josh dobbs a while back and received the wrath of volnation

You want a guy who gets into bar fights in the off-season?

Leadership alone makes Dobbs better. Plus we can rely on him to get thru the off-season without incident.

Are you sure Chad Kelly can get through this off-season clean? Cause he hasn't done that yet to this point.

Do fumbles play any part? Interceptions thrown? ECT. If Dobbs is the Best QB in the SEC, we should easily be the SEC Champions next year, and Dobbs should easily be drafted by the NFL, as a first pick. I do not think either will happen-not even close.:eek:lol::whistling:

5 interceptions don't look good when you have 10 fumbles.
