It seems like Iran has a pretty similar sized military to that of Iraq back then. However, I would guess the Iranian military is better trained though. If we were going to perform a ground invasion of Iran, I would expect a mobilization of hundreds of thousands (at least the same number that invaded Iraq, ~600,000) of troops into the region.

I have full confidence in our military as well. Its the politicians in charge that are my concern.

Problem is that even with our military we can't eradicate ALL threat to shipping through the straight, its getting to be guerilla warfare.

Trump said 74 times during his campaign before being elected that Iran was not going to get a nuclear weapon. Thankfully after having past administrations ignoring the threat of Iran in the region and globally it is being addressed.

Question: How precisely is Trump going to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons?

I’ve answered this one for you a million times. They’re further today from a nuclear weapon than they were at the start of the war despite a lack of boots on the ground.
