So. If Iran wanted to truly operate in peace with no nuclear weapon ambitions, then they should have invited the IAEA inspectors to live there. Instead, they worked covertly enriching uranium under a mountain and spreading propaganda for the world to naively absorb. And Trump pulling out of the JCPOA ensured that Iran was under no obligation to allow IAEA inspections for nigh on a decade.
Similarly, I heard an interview with a historian that described revolutions as unthinkable until they suddenly became inevitable.i was reading something about how revolutions are impossible to predict due to the nature of public thought vs private thought and how if the known indicators of revolution are observable, it just means the revolution isn't just imminent, but actually happening, and it happens overnight.
Personally, I'm not interested in talking about whether I think we should or shouldn't have done this at this point. Its done and I don't see any way to put the toothpaste back in the tube. The IR has to go at some point and it probably should have been done a long time ago. The cold war was such nasty business and **** the Soviets and **** the RF for making all this possible. The gulf states have spent way too long with their heads up their asses about the IR.
The only way out of this is a successful revolution because a failed state will kill every sane iranian given enough time and the region will never stabilize
Naw it’s always Trumps fault. Nevermind Obama gave them over a billion dollars.So. If Iran wanted to truly operate in peace with no nuclear weapon ambitions, then they should have invited the IAEA inspectors to live there. Instead, they worked covertly enriching uranium under a mountain and spreading propaganda for the world to naively absorb.
Iran was in compliance when Trump unilaterally pulled out of the JCPOA.So. If Iran wanted to truly operate in peace with no nuclear weapon ambitions, then they should have invited the IAEA inspectors to live there. Instead, they worked covertly enriching uranium under a mountain and spreading propaganda for the world to naively absorb.
Plus Iran had no intention of following the deal. That deal still allowed them to enrich uranium
Ali Khamenei did not want nuclear weapons. The ones that viewed Khamenei too soft will now be the loudest voice at the tablePlus Iran had no intention of following the deal.
The only way to make a deal with Iran is to have a new regime on the Iran side of the table that is actually open to the prospect of a non-nuclear Iran. The regime doesn’t have to be perfect, just willing to accept a non-nuclear Iran and maybe tone down the “death to America” stuff.
Where did the billion dollars come from?
There are dumb arguments.
There are disingenuous arguments.
And then there's your divorced-from-reality argument that you've made here, where you pretend that the actions Iran has taken, have not been in direct response to US and Israeli strikes.
That’s the game. Washington has one philosophy no matter party or president. If it increases the misery of Americans then it’s good. If it decreases misery it’s bad. Trump talks like Caesar but acts like Caligula. And we're further from a balanced budget, affordable energy, reducing inflation, a working relationship with our closest allies, and a peaceful co-existence in the Middle East.......and it's only beginning.
Doubling down on stupidThey’re very valid arguments which is why you intentionally disparage them rather than attempting to make a counter argument. Attacking a third party is not an obvious response to our strikes. Especially if that third party has zero to do with the current conflict.
If we bomb Canada tomorrow will you say “yeah, well, we are just responding to Iranian strikes!”. Obviously not.

So. If Iran wanted to truly operate in peace with no nuclear weapon ambitions, then they should have invited the IAEA inspectors to live there. Instead, they worked covertly enriching uranium under a mountain and spreading propaganda for the world to naively absorb.
