I think congress is full of cowards who don't want to put their name on a war and cede power to an executive branch that isn't supposed to have that power. I think Bush should have held congress feet to the fire to get a war declaration. He would have gotten it. I think everything has been an abuse of executive branch overreach bc a feckless congress wont do its job for election purposes

We should have a better standard than that especially in a "war" that isn't a threat to American lives.

It sure would be nice if we could have a better standard than that but it's almost impossible. When ordinance starts exploding, rounds fly down range innocents will be hurt and killed. We take more precautions (to the point of endangering our own troops) than any other country to prevent as many innocent causalities as we can. Accidents happen in combat and when they do it's awful and we should learn from them but in no way are they an indictment of our armed forces.

Basically sh!t happens in combat and we should do our best to limit the sh!t that does happen.
