Insanity by Shaun T

I just finished up month 1 with insanity. I can tell a huge difference in the tone in my legs and abs so far. I went a head and popped in month 2 DVD just to see what it was like and I'm frightened.

How many calories do you recommend a day? I was considering something like cheerios in the morning, a footlong turkey sub for lunch, and a marinara pasta or chicken dish for dinner

JMO, but I think you should dump the pasta and grains. Just go with meat and veggies. Sweet potatoes if you require extra carbs.

Good luck!:good!:

Youll shrivel, I followed the p90x diet and it ramps you up to 2400 to 3000

I did Insanity last year around the same time as Eric. I wasn't fat or out of shape, but the workout will put you in your place if you "think" you're in good shape. It was about 4-5 workouts before I could finish one. Once I could do a complete one I began the actual program. At the end I was doing the max workouts at the same pace as the folks on the DVD.

That said, I was dissapointed with the results. I didn't get the DVDs to lose weight. When I started I was at 185. When I finished I was at 185. I got the DVDs to tone and get some muscle definition. Didn't really happen for me. I had a before pic, and there's no real change like you see in the ads.

Best results for muscle and definition have come with kettlebells for me.

My wife and I have been doing these programs for almost 2 years and the Hybrid of P90x and Insanity gives the best of both worlds...IMO. We started using the Shakeology about 8 months ago for breakfast and saw huge improvements. Now, if you really want your ass kicked, get the Asylum with Shawn T. Hardest workouts I have ever done but great results.

Just ordered Insanity yesterday. The wife and I will be using it. I'll post some updates later.
