Insanity by Shaun T

If anyone wants a custom workout that's 5 days for Insanity, let me know. I made one for my wife, because she wants Wednesday and Sunday off. It's a good one, IMO. I'm sticking with the status quo for me. Great results so far.

Just got done with Core Power and Resistance. Finished the whole thing, and I am spent. What a great workout for the whole body. That's why Insanity bring the results, it concentrates on the core everytime, and it give a total body workout. Man I love getting in shape right now.

It's hard to believe how far I have come since starting this thread. Honestly, this is good way to keep yourself accountable.

I look at myself in the mirror every morning and tell myself what a sexy mothereffer I am, no motivation required.

If you are looking for a pre-workout supplement, try NO Xplode in lemonade flavor. Tastes good to me and I feel like running through a brick wall after taking it

Plyometric Cardio Circuit finished. I hate/love this workout. This one makes me more sore than any other of the workouts. Tomorrow, Insane Abs.

So will someone compare and contrast Insanity with P90X? TIA

Insanity is ALL cardio, but it incorporates pretty much a total body workout everytime you do it, save like 2 videos. P90X is good for concentrating on specific muscle groups each video.

Let me put it to you like this, my wife started doing P90X, and didn't lose but probably 12 lbs in 11 weeks, mainly because we didn't have everything we needed. She's lost 12 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks doing Insanity, and is starting to notice more definition everywhere.

So, overall, Insanity is the way to go, IMO.

BTW, there is an upper body weight workout with Insanity, once you get through the full program. I plan on implementing it when I get done with phase two.

It really depends on what your goals are. I promise that you will lose more muscle on Insanity than P90x.

Maybe so, but P90's cardio is a joke, IMO. If your goal is to build and tone, combine the weight program of P90X and the cardio of Insanity. Hell, doing both programs at the same time, just alternating one day for another would probably suffice. If your goal is overall just to look better and feel better, Insanity is the way to go.

I am still in the first phase of P90X and about to start the 2nd. I have seen fair results so far I have lost roughly 14lbs. Maybe I'll give it a shot after I finish p90x. The problem I have with p90x is staying compliant with the working out 6 days a week. With school and work it can get put to the side sometimes. How long are the workouts and how many days a week do you do them?

Same days per week, but they are shorter vids. More effort in less time.
