Well, we still have to be careful, because if something happens to Trump, then you are going to have 100 million citizens mad as heck. Not saying it will be, but Virginia and other citizens across the U.S. has had it with the demos. Mr. Northam could have started something, but we got lucky with no violence as well.
Why would they purposely tank their ratings? It was the same bs played on a loop over and over and over and over and over.......
IMO, they shouldn't even bother with a defense. Just go ahead and hold the vote and acquit him. The Dems have not proven anything worthy of removal from office. Hate for the man is not a valid reason.
Dems have presented a circumstantial case that suggests there could have been a QPQ. "Could have" doesn't equal fact. Personally, without a link to Trump actually saying that, and with Zelinsky saying he felt no such pressure, I don't see enough to "prove" anything. Then you face the argument of if it even rises to impeachment, which IMO it doesn't based on the acts of past Presidents. Dems are going to argue they've "proven" something based on feels and feels alone. They've abandoned rationality in favor of giving in to the Trump hate. And they're perfectly justified in not liking the guy. But they're not justified in letting that rage push them into this irrational behavior. There is no case for actual impeachment here.
If you want him out of office, beat him in 2020.
Your feels are clouding you to the facts. Trump is a scumbag. Whether they admit it or not, everyone knows it. Being a scumbag isn't grounds for impeachment no matter how much the Dem leaders try to convince you it is. Nothing has been proven, and even if it were proven, it's not impeachable. Why was Fox so scared of airing the democratic portion of the impeachment trial? I'll give you the censored version, vaginas!
It's good to see that even you think the republicans don't have a defense and should just avoid trying. As for proving Trump is absolutely worth impeachment AND removal, it was a home run. Nobody said anything about removing Trump because they hate him.
I feel like you're trying to convince yourself, possibly along with others with this statement.
I think it was her involvement in picking and choosing who should be prosecuted and who shouldn't in Ukraine. That is not an ambassadors job.Yes, but they don't have the right to stalk her and make her feel threatened according to Lev's notes and the Ambassador. And why was she "going to go through some things?" according to Trump? (Edit: and he said he didn't know Lev, right?)
Amazing how many GOP senators are clutching their pearls at Schiff merely citing the CBS news report about "heads on pikes" but hardly bat an eye at any of Trump's actions in the case.
And some things are black and white. She was going against the president's agenda, playing her own plan, got caught and got recalled for it. It's just that simple. You guys are so black and white - things are mostly grey. (continuums)
If he fires her because she insists on carrying out the "official" US foreign policy rather than the unofficial back channel policy being pushed by a lunatic personal lawyer, there maybe be appropriate consequences.

It's kind of the opposite of that. She was supporting and advancing the official US foreign policy, and questioned the wisdom and legitimacy of a secret hidden policy that was never officially communicated to her, but was whispered about between crazy personnel lawyers and shady figures not around the periphery of the Ukrainian government. And some things are black and white. She was going against the president's agenda, playing her own plan, got caught and got recalled for it. It's just that simple.
