Pets aren't bred as food. Ridiculous argument.

This may be the most ignorant remark in the history of the Animal Rights debate. You really believe that a living creature's right to humane treatment depends on its intended use, arbitrarily assigned by man?

I'm not gonna debate whether or not dickens statement was ignorant because he's known for ignorant statements..This may be the most ignorant remark in the history of the Animal Rights debate. And you call yourself a man?...
First, the notion that some people "see nothing wrong" with the torture of humans is irrelevant. I'm pretty sure that we all agree that torture is a terrible act.
The next statement is exactly my point. There are, undoubtedly, more "humane" ways to "make that process as easy as possible on the animals." With a little research into the subject, you will find that masses of our foodsources are subject to unimaginable pain from chicken debeaking and other body-part removal, confinement into extremely tight quarters, and live-dipping into boiling fluids.
Again, I don't have a problem with the consumption of God-given animals as food, but I it's crazy that we treat dogs, cats, and other animals as royalty, while we turn a blind eye to the cruel handling of others. The media and public berated Mike Vick for the dogfighting gig, but most eat animals treated just as bad.
I know that this is a touchy subject and one that most people close-mindedly reject with stupid statements like "I'm going to go eat me a steak." They are missing the point.

I wish lions would be nicer to the animals they kill for food.
Pets are domesticated. End of story. Excuse me, there's a squirrel outside my window I'm gonna go shoot it.
"God's Country" is meant to refer to the beautiful natural surroundings, not the disappointing culture that makes fun of a man for making a stand for Animal Rights while proclaiming kindness and humility.
No, but a comment like this means you should stay away from message boards.
