Oh, people understand that just fine. But a HC is responsible and accountable for the performance of the team. It's CBJ's job and he makes $4.1 mil to do it. It's the offseason-- people discuss all sorts of things.

Haven't even had fall practice yet. The new kids just got to campus earlier this week. And wouldn't ya just know it, some mouth breathing idiot has already chalked up the first game as a loss with three ******* MONTHS until kickoff. Just when I thought the FF couldn't possibly get any more imbecilic.....y'all go and lower the standard even further.

I'm starting to think there needs to be a new forum added.. the "dead horse" forum.

It's where the ones that constantly show up in every thread and club us all like baby seals with CBJ hate and negative facts, can go yap in each other's faces about how he needs to be gone yesterday. Maybe the rest of us can have some peace for a change.

Might even get to talk a little football.

He stabilized the program somewhat after the Dooley debacle and he's a decent recruiter. But other than that, he's a thin skinned MAC level coach with very few wins against top 25 teams and some really bad losses.

It's funny to see posters call themselves negavols like they're proud of it. They sometimes refer to the group as true fans and everyone else are Butch worshipping sunshine pumpers settling for mediocrity.

You see them say things like "there are many that are settling for mediocrity, pay attention, you'll see them". They say "demand results, hold Butch accountable ". Ask them how to do it? "Stop spending money, stop going to games, stop supporting the coach". Lol.

Then in another thread you see them making fun of other schools and their fairweather fans. " you don't see any fans when they're going 4-8, but when they start winning, they come out of the woodwork ". :crazy:

Funny bunch they are. "Pay attention, you'll see". Believe me, I pay attention. And I see!

Exactly,it's the team that wins and loses. Coaches coach and players play. I know some will say"coaches have to call the right plays,teach them the position or recruited them" and all that's true to an extent. You can coach a player up all week and prepare them but they still have to perform consistantly in games. One shortcut and the play is busted. One bad call and your losing yards,or not getting points,etc.
As for losing the game,yes it will suck and start the season off bad but it's not a conference game. I have read a lot on here about the conference record and how it must improve so I would take a loss(not being mediocre) if they can win the East. Having said that,I actually want to win the game and look forward to seeing the Big Orange start the season 1-0.
