If Bama makes the CFP

Okie or Notre Dame deserve it more the Bama.
Notre Dame played as difficult a schedule as Bama? Bama was ranked ahead of Notre Dame going into this weekend. Notre Dame sit at home. People are pissed ND got left out but ND has gotten preferential treatment for years. ND generally plays not much of anyone every year and when they do usually they get humbled.

It’s sheer coincidence that it came down to two teams who played each other out of conference in Miami and Notre Dame. If it came down to 10-2 Notre Dame and Texas or Vandy, I still think Notre Dame gets left out.

Said after week 2. They can’t win 10 straight beating nobodies and get in. Everyone said “but the Notre Dame brand will get them in”

😂😂😂😂😂
What’s crazy is the committee made it look like they would for weeks and then they didn’t. That’s actually quite funny.

The more I think about this, the more I understand it. And approve of it.

For far too long now, ND has been able to do things its' own way. I think the Committee sent an intentional message to ND: "Get in a conference , or get used to being left out."

What with the move to 9 conference games, and with ND being able to largely hand-pick its 9 "conference" opponents, the Irish were...and have been for years...in a position where 10 wins were there for the taking, and they were all but assured of a NY6 Bowl, or a CFP slot. After today, no more of that.

At least until next year, when the next Committee resets the rules yet again. Maybe ND can just wait this one out, and wait on a more favorable group next year.

Or maybe the other P4 schools have had enough of the homegrown "Luck of the Irish", and Notre Dame is going to finally have to play big boy ball with the big boys.

As Saint Nick of Pachydermous would say, "About fu***ng time."

Y'all be safe out there...

Do you know how many times Ala won the NC and got into the BCS for not only not winning the SEC and not playing in the SECCG, they didn't even win the west. Yet still make the BCS..Twice..
I know and I agree. However, I think they deserve to get in. But I won’t cry if they don’t. If they don’t the melt down will be glorious.

ND lost to both Miami and A&M. They should not be in. Bama should not be in. Tulane or James Madison should not be in. Tulane got boat raced already by Ole Miss in the regular season so why are they playing again? James Madison coach bailed that great School for UCLA.

Tulane and JMU are in under the existing terms of the 12-team CFP agreement. So there's that.

I thought the "Final 2" would be ND and Miami. I was wrong, and I think the Committee chose to send a message to ND about (a) being an Independent in a P4 world; and (b) their schedule -vs- what other P4 teams play.

No, Bama does not belong. But in order to keep ND out, Bama had to be in. Look at what the Committee did to BYU (lost big vs #4) as opposed to Bama (lost big vs #3). BYU went down; Bama stayed put. And after being ahead of Miami since the Nov. 4th CFP poll, last night the Committee has a "change of heart" and moves Miami ahead , even though both ND and Miami were idle yesterday.

Whatever. They sent a message to ND. That simple.

Notre Dame didn't deserve to go to the playoffs due to losing to the best teams they played and having a cupcake schedule outside of that with no big wins.

Alabama maybe should have dropped a ranking or two,but they were a lock regardless.

Putting Tulane against a team that already blew them out in the regular season and JMU being in it at all is definitely out in left field, but I get it although the games will likely be blowouts.
