Alabama had the best win of the regular season beating Georgia at Georgia.

That outweighs the loss to Florida State bigly. People are making yesterday’s loss into something much bigger than it is.

They finished the season in first place in the SEC.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but to claim to be a UT fan, and to come on a UT message board 2 weeks after getting blown out by the most abrasive Vandy player we've ever seen, and say "Go Dores", is nothing short of tone deafness.

It's not that they lost to GA. It's that they got destroyed by GA. 3 point, 7 pints...fine they're in. 21 points plus you looked horrible and pop warner, you're out.

Yep. Long time O&W fanatic myself since around 8th grade. But, if it does not involve UT directly, my dad was a career UGA system employee so there's that. My wife's family was originally from South LA. So, I watch LSU because of that. Back in my 20's my best friend bought me a GT hat that was an exact style match to the orange UT hat I wore almost daily. As a casual GT watcher, put a few miles under that gift. Got two black t-shirts in my dresser my wife bought me as a joke years ago. One with an orange T. One with a red G. lol. Both have been worn, except the GA one was relegated to around the house work shirt and not a public shirt. Etc. Don't see how that makes me tone deaf to us getting smacked around. It's typically called life. But, the Derangement Syndrome's on VN are wild and varied.

I dislike the gumps as much as anyone here, but they have a better resume than notre dame. Their best win georgia. Notre Dame best win is usc. Now I do think notre dame would beat them, but the gumps have a better resume.

I'm with you. Always rooted for Vandy while growing up in Nashville, family from Louisville so I root for them, too. and I like Indiana because I was always a big fan of The General.

Some of the people on here are a few fries short of a Happy Meal. Derangement Syndrome is accurate.

I see your point. If I pull for multiple winning programs, surely one of them will do well. That way, I won't be deranged and need counseling. I can guarantee you it won't be Vandy or Georgia though. Maybe Bama. I dated a girl from Alabama when I was at UT. She gave me a Bama sweatshirt. My brother-in-law is a Bama fan. They do seem to catch a lot of breaks. Roll TIde!

Okay in a game that didn't mean much. They also had the best win of the regular season beating Georgia AT Georgia..... The SEC Title game result really doesn't mean much to me and apparently others. The win in Athens was a bigger deal than a loss in the conference title game...

I don't disagree a conference title game loss should not penalize a team. But, I do disagree it is overlooked when it is a blowout loss. Otherwise they need to be dis-continued if the games are that petty.
