I really thought they were going to leave Miami out for ND. They got it right.

There needs to be some sort of stipulation for the G5 to make it. You shouldn’t be able to play some bull$hit JMU schedule and make it. At least Boise played Oregon competitively last year in Eugene.

Notre Dame’s claim to fame this year is losing close. They have nothing to stand on. If you gave UCONN the same resume as ND, they’d be ranked behind Vandy.

It’s sheer coincidence that it came down to two teams who played each other out of conference in Miami and Notre Dame. If it came down to 10-2 Notre Dame and Texas or Vandy, I still think Notre Dame gets left out.

Said after week 2. They can’t win 10 straight beating nobodies and get in. Everyone said “but the Notre Dame brand will get them in”

Let's wait and see how the games go first. Could be some surprises.

But those conferences are part of the mix whether anyone likes it. The ACC seems weak this year, the Big 12 teams generally do not fair well - do we kick those to the curb as well?

It doesn't matter. The bottom half of the 12 is just there to spoil and injure. None of them have any business in it.

Yes they did. People can grouse all they want but the committee followed the principles as stated. This should debunk the conspiracy theories many people on this board have clung to for months.

Among all the other complaints, rematches suck. There should be ability to re-seed to avoid rematches, ie Tulane/ole Miss, OU/Bama. And, they should make a G5 teams have a play in for one spot, like bball does.

Do you know how many times Ala won the NC and got into the BCS for not only not winning the SEC and not playing in the SECCG, they didn't even win the west. Yet still make the BCS..Twice..
