Again showing you have no clue of what you're talking about. Once Fulmer is mercifully gone, there is a better chance of Ice Capades performing in Hell than there is of me wishing he were still the head football coach.

That's not what I'm talking about. You see the drunk, half-passed out jerks yelling obscenities at just about every
SEC venue. That's not a product of dissatisfaction with the coaching, that's over-consumption of alcohol and a poor upbringing. But to watch games time after time where the Vols perform abysmally has to stir some inner feeling of being taken for a ride. It's like buying tickets for a Broadway play and the local kindergarden performs "Peter Pan".

And if you REALLY want to get picky, it started with the 99 recruiting class, possibly the worse Fulmer has had until this year.

all valid points. goes back to the inability or refusal to acknowledge the real status of the program. the notion of this team being close to something special, as it was apparently seen by the coaches at the time, was never countered with the notion, as it was later proven to be the case, that we're also close 7-4 or 6-5.

much like the last two years. we've all seen things that gave us reason to hope. we've also seen plenty to know that we have a long way to go.

i think we know which way the staff leans on that issue.

Speaking of this group. I got down into the student section Saturday. It's getting as bad as the regular sections around Neyland. Too many people there to be seen, rather than to raise hell. Arms crossed, commenting about the people raising fuss.

Apathy has set in. It's hard to support a bad product.

That being said, I've paid for my tickets and will be at every home game and the Vandy game.

Totally agree, and same. It is sobering when the meanest fans in the conference are pitying you and are apologizing for scoring so much.

Speaking of denial, remember during the '02 season, the excuse for the offensive inability was a bad rash of injuries, which bascially all but one major one were suffered on the DEFENSIVE side of the ball? Not to mention we were pretty healthy saving for Simon and Burnett being hurt in the two opening games...but again, they didn't play offense.

But the real reason I'm going to the Vandy game is because I'm deerhunting in the middle Tennessee area before the game.

it's no different than AF's fumbling problem being construed as a ball security problem? wtf? whatever. Fulmer has always had a knack of explaining away issues......

Let's not forget all the empty seats in the upper deck of the student section.

I don't know that I have ever seen as many empty seats for a 'big" game like that in 21 years of attending games there.

I am because I am a glutton for punishment. I felt like no Tennessee fans should have been allowed to leave early Saturday, until they relented that there was an obvious problem with our coach and it needed to be corrected.

I don't always agree with HV but I have to admit he's being brutally honest about the state of the program under Fulmer, and you guys fail to see that. Just ride it and nobody will want to play for UT. The only reason Berry is there is because his dad was a former Vol, period. Time for change is now.

I have never left a game early ever. I will not leave a game early.

I was going to Nashville to watch the game and possibly hunt. Now I'm hunting and possibly watching the game.

My buddy was there and said the same thing. He also said he's never seen the crowd start leaving during an SEC game before a couple of minutes left in the 4th... much less at halftime.
