I am really disappointed

Losing a close game and losing by say... 5 touchdowns isn't exactly the same. We got monkey stomped by rivals. Saban had to get the media to ask questions about the game and is working harder to get his players to even think about UT.

Unless Dooley is doing the college football equivalent of a rope-a-dope strategy, we're simply getting the crap beaten out of us.

How has the coaching carousel at Notre Dame worked?

When is the last time they have been to a BCS bowl?

I agree with Justin 110% on all his points. Dooley did walk into a mess, and what has he really done to clean it up?? In fact, what has he done to prove he's the man for the job?? I haven't seen anything up to this point.

:birgits_giggle: not surprising

I think you will find that Dooley has cleaned up a bunch, especially in the area of academics, classroom attendance and overall character. The wins will come starting next year. I don't know if Dooley will eventually be the answer, but right now we have to trust we he is doing. Well, those of us that are somewhat informed. The rest can b-i-t-ch and moan all they like. It literally has no weight

Put 9 men in the box to stop the run. They had a WR as a QB, it's not like we didn't know they were going to run the ball.

He had to be sure... so he spoted them a score and then showed how smart he was by doing what we all knew he should do in the first place.

Zero improvement throughout the season. I'm not talking wins and losses, just week to week improving. The team as a whole regressed. This DC situation has also become a joke. That's not all.

The OL and run game was an abomination from the get go.

That couldn't be further from the truth.

Wilcox did.

You can't say allowing 10 points is the reason you get beat.

I guess to me it's kind of depressing to see a WR at QB in the SEC help his team score enough points to beat you. I just don't see how we didn't shut them out. We gave up over 200 yards rushing to them too, and LSU, South Carolina, and Arkansas were the only other teams to rush for more yards against us.

Zero improvement? Its hard to improve on offense when you lose your two most important players. Of course your offense is going to regress.

If you think defense didn't get better as the year went on then I dont know what to tell you. Our team went from getting torched by Florida to holding UGA and USC under 20 points.

Yay moral victories!

And the two coaches most responsible for that made an, at best, lateral move to get away from a sinking ship.

They gave up 10 points. You're complaining about the wrong group.

So it's okay to be "in" against Kentucky and South Carolina?

It's not. The Cocks lost their best offensive player and QB too. Look what happened with them.

That USC team beat 2 ranked teams by more than 20 losing their best offensive player and Shaw did a lot better than Garcia this year. You can't bring that up, Garcia would still be on the team if he was going to stay the starter.

It's easy to get 200 yards rushing when you run it 60 times.

We are playing with a JV team. What do you expect? Everyone predicted this team a 6 win team. Sorry we cant win 8 games with a jv team.

It was a good career move by Wilcox considering he wants to be a head coach out west.

Kentucky is a JV team.

Please quit making excuses for losing to Kentucky. It's not helpful.

Based on your posts, I am certain you are confused as to what the truth might be. I stated facts. Sorry if you don't like them

You might want to ask whoever told you that Dooley is improving the classroom attendance and academics how many players wouldn't have made the bowl trip if Dooley could have beaten that mighty UK team
