oh yes. recruiting class would have to be rebuilt, just like when CLK and staff came in. Brand new coaches without relationships so we are right back where we were in december 2008.
There would be a lot more attrition off the current roster with another new group of coaches & new S&C..
you can't have 4 coaching staffs in a 5 year period and expect good results... no way IMO..
IMO, the quickest way back to competing for championships is for Dooley to be successful. There may be bumps along the way but we need for him to smooth them and keep moving forward.
Now, I'm not sure he can survive next season if it is 6 or 7 wins but a new staff might have better chance to come in and keep it around there while they try and build roster more to get to championship level.
to continue changing coaches every 3-4 years usually means a long trip back until you hit the home run guy.. jsut go look at the top programs, they have all been through streaches of flipping coaches over 15-20 year periods.
Bama after 82 up until Saban. Stallings gave them some decent years in 90s but everything else has been struggles to win and make fans happy
