Oh sorry.....you are right we are a destination job. That is why our last two hires have been no name losers.

UTAD starts the search off with big ideas, an ambitious wish list and a lot of money. It ends with a coach no one really knows much about. In other words, a typical UT coaching search.

Dooley was hired cause no other coach wanted the mess kiffin left. He lost 2 rec classes back to back but yet you want him back LMFAO

Did u know Lame revoked taj Boyd cause he's to short? Great coach huh

Lane saw an opportunity and took it. It was a better gig......hey I get it man....you would rather find that diamond in the rough....the next Butch Jones after we are turned down by 3-4 coaches. LMFAO

Did you know Lane is winning his conference I. His first year as head coach at a school that finished towards last in their conference last year.....

That sure is grounds for a sec hire. Which conference? What power 5 conference has Lane won. I'm done on this topic Tn will never hire him again so it matters not.

I honestly don't even know how half these names on a "list" gets into rumors besides their agent trying to make some extra pocket change. I honestly feel that Currie is different than Our last 2 garbage ADs Hamilton and Hart. They always tried to save a million, that always ended up costing UT 5 times more than that to clean up the mess. Set us back years each time. Currie didn't hire a search firm specifically so he could be hands-on and so he could control most of the "rumor candidate" leaks. And he's actually done a really good job on that front so far. Most of these rumored leaks are bogus and not from Currie. He said "money wouldn't be an issue", which is the complete opposite of our last 2 searches. So if we can take him at his word, then he understands it's gonna take a big offer to get a true winner. If Patterson makes 5.1mil, then he'd listen for 7. If Leach makes a little over 4, then he'd listen for 6. Same with Peterson or Chip or Jimbo. I'd have a short list of 5 top notch coaches not named Saban or Dabo, and I'd put the money on the table and get a deal done. We aren't short on funds. And the first calls go to the Coaches agent to gauge interest....and EVERY agent is gonna talk to their client in a convincing way for a 2mil raise (that they get a nice cut of). So I don't believe these rumors about different mid-level coaches and coordinators yet. Not til Currie indicates it with a comment, or the actual coach in question does. The rest is just reporters rumors to get clicks. I think Schiano is actually a candidate, but not a Top 4 candidate, so let's hope it doesn't get down to 6 or 7 on the list to make him the offer. Hopefully my feelings on Currie so far aren't off target.

If Hyams is right, then we need to go to marriage counselling, make him get a penicillin shot and take Kiffin back.
