He wasn't negative, he wasn't positive he simply said he has a source that had info on various coaches associated with openings and here's some info on them.

And again, Jimmy hasn't had a legitimate source since before Kiffin got here.

Him running down his list with a 'source' is identical to me asking you for your opinion.

As I didn't see Currie's name cited anywhere in Hyam's article, I'd say this came from "Hyam's Rumor Mill." If Currie has not released any details, how in the world can Hyams honestly say that "UT search very cloudy with no clear frontrunner"??? Answer: He can't honestly say it! He is just speculating and spreading more of his rotten "Hymors". Hyams is just another talking head who generally does not know what he is talking about... he's just speculating like the rest of us but tries to pass off his speculations as facts.

So there's a clear frontrunner? I'd say the search is cloudy is highly accurate. He didn't need to cite Currie, he was commenting on various coaches that have been mentioned in searches.

He certainly wouldn't need to cite Currie to say Jimbo likes A&M. It's unrelated

People think Hyams has a lot of inside info. He doesnt. He knows as much as I do about the coaching search. Absolutely nothing.

Just tuned in for fun, this is world class entertainment. One caller mentioned Paul Johnson another mention Tuberville and the last one mentioned Gene Chiz lol

I think UT has a real shot at Mullen if Texas A & M doesn't get him first. Forget Gruden. I think FL will get Frost and Chip goes to UCLA. Jimbo may go to A & M we just have to wait and see. UT needs to target Mike Leach. Hell of a coach and can play chess with any SEC coach. That includes Saban. Very colorful and can WIN..

Leach is an entertaining loser. Never won any game of importance in his career. But, his offenses are fun to watch.

I don't understand why the A&M job is just SOOO much more attractive than ours. Yes Texas is a big state to recruit in. However they still have to compete with Texas, they have to compete with Oklahoma, they have to compete with LSU, not to mention the cherry picking that the other SEC and Big 12 teams do in that state.

If Tennessee is willing to pay the numbers we're hearing they were willing to pay for Gruden they can get any coach on the that list. If they want to stay in the 5 mil a year range, they're looking at getting a mid major guy or a coordinator. It is what it is.

And that's because Tennessee is soft right now mentally & physically.

He would bring toughness and wins....
