Hunter or Rogers?

If you read my statement. I wasn't making excuses for him. All I was saying was that, It is not easy to do what he did.He made first team All SEC with 9 fingers. 3 different QBs and no other help at receiver. Yeah he dropped some passes, that he should have caught but he also made some catches that were unbelievable.

I completely agree with this. And I understand what you're saying and I respect your opinions. I was just saying he should play through the pain and catch balls he's supposed to catch.

You wish you had a WR on his level. Troll.

Didnt say i didnt?

What's so freakin hard to understand?

He is a good player. Despite being a physical freak, he's not a freak on the field. Good, but not a freak.

Rogers carried the offense on his shoulders the entire season. He was the only option and was often double covered. Yet, he still finished with over 1,000 yards and 9 TDs.

He's shown flashes of brilliance on the field. While this may not qualify him for "exceptional" status in your mind, it was enough for him to get 2nd team All-SEC last year, as a true sophomore...while getting double-teamed most of the year.

I'd say he's on his way to becoming exceptional...assuming his diva personality doesn't get in his way.

He's the SEC's top returning receiver in yards, receptions per game, and scoring in the SEC.

Speaks for itself.

No one cares what you think.

Hunter. It's not close.

I know this will cause world war III, but rogers is overrated.

Good player, not exceptional

Rogers is most certainly not overrated. Both he and Hunter will be making millions in the NFL if they can stay healthy. As mentioned before, Florida has no one even close to the caliber of either Hunter or Rogers.

Agree.

Im going to preface this by saying I really like Jhunt. He is a leader, he has a phenomenal skill set, he is in general a seemingly all around great person.

That being said, I dont understand how anyone could pick him over Da'rick at this point. They are both electrifying to watch, and what we saw from hunter at the beginning of the year last year makes it awful to think of what could have been. We just haven't seen enough of him to say he is hands down better. Rogers, however, was the top receiver in the sec last year. He has an almost perfect build for a wide receiver. He is fast as greased lightning and strong as an ox. He has, despite some views on here, above average hands. Dr can and has stretched the field. He routinely got free of double teams in games against exceptional dbs. You think a gm would take hunter over Rogers right now? Perceived attitude problem by a ****ty local media and a jaded fan base vs a very talented player coming off an acl surgery with a spectacular yet short highlight real? Funny t.o. kept getting picked up by teams till he blew his knee out.

We all love Jhunt, he is an excellent player with elite skills. All I would give him over dr is better hands, better leader, maybe slightly faster. Its just silly AT THIS POINT to say he is better than Da'rick. 21 is much more complete right now. Needs to work on his focus and blocking and he could ne a top 10 pick and the best wr in the nation by years end. And keep his nose clean.

deep threat and hands down hunter. short to med pass its close but would say rogers because of his strength and toughness. both are great wr tho

Actually if you look at it logically there is no real argument here. Hunter has only played 1/3 of a season as a starter. He is a deep threat...a fragile one. If you want an analogy think of the team as guns. Hunter is a sniper rifle Rogers is a gas piston M4. Thin is that M4 can do the job of a sniper rifle in a pinch but vice versa is a lot less optimal.

Hunter has to this point not proven he can be a number 1. Your number 1 WR if the guy you can go to in any situation on any route on any down in any situation. 3rd or 4th and short across the middle you are not looking for Justin Hunter...you are looking for Rogers.

As far as attitude to this point most of the stuff on DR has been morons on message boards with no clue trying to read tea leaves. The so called info we have comes from the same brain surgeons that had us hiring Shannon and Gruden.

It is hilarious how like the political arena these boards are. You start a rumor spread false/flawed information and people run with it. after hundreds of posts the rumor gets cleared up but the majority still only remember the 1000 posts spreading the lie and tend to forget the 2 posts that debunk it. The sad thing is the "media" around UT do nothing but feed it. None of them are held to task for the fact that most of the rumors they break are false and people still base their mattress burning habits on these guys.

TLDR version. Both guys are special talent and together they are insane. Thing is if you just had one.. which could carry your team? If Rogers went down instead of Hunter, JH would not have put up the numbers DR did.

People let the off-field issues effect what they think of Rogers as a player too much.

The same way people forget that Kiffin is a good coach because of his antics and unfortunate circumstances surrounding his departure.

Rogers will make the tough catches while hunter burns DBS all day going deep.
Both will break the 1000 yard mark and both should have 8 or more tds.
Hard to pick which one is better. They compliment each so well
If we get a rb that can take it to the house, offense will put up some points!
Go big orange!!!!

Or they just remember on the field issues like dropped passes and personal fouls because a db got physical with you and you had to act out.
