Hunter or Rogers?

Athletically, I think they are close although Hunter obviously has more hops. However, between the ears, it is definitely Hunter. For that reason, I like him better. Much less drama and problems from him.

The highlight of my year in 2011 was watching Rogers toss honey badger around like a rag doll and punk him for a 40 yd completion. Sorry, but Hunter just can't do that.
I'll go with Rogers.

My favorite play as well! I watched that at least a dozen times and laughed each time.

Maybe we will get to see Hunter versus the honey badger this year! Although I am guessing that Hunter would just hop/hurdle over him and never break stride :)

Let's continue to speak about individualism, when teams should be judged by their unity :)

This.

OP,

I'm a fan of Rodgers because

""UNTIL HUNTERZ PROOFS IT AGINST TOP KOMPITISHUN THAT HE CUN PREFORM WIT DA PRESSHURES ON, ROGERZ IS DA MAN"""

Sorry, just channeling my inner Tyler hater.

I like both. I like them all. Hunter rocks. Darick rocks. They're two entirely different types of receivers, and both will serve the team well.

likability? it isn't even close. talent? much more of an argument. I like Hunter's ability to stretch the field, that gives him the edge for me, even though Rogers can catch anything he wants to catch.

Taste great.....Less filling. Can't we just have both without all the questioning of who we think is better?

It's Miller Lite baby! We get both! :elephant:

It depends on what you need, if you are a coach, and what you already have on your team.

If you have no offensive weapons, you have to go with Rogers. He is built to do more with less than Hunter. But if you already have some talent at the WR position, Hunter can be a wonderful addition. His speed and athleticism is hard to stop one-on-one, but I doubt he could do what Rogers had to do while being double teamed.

Yes, but you're forgetting that Hunter's ability to stretch the field and draw attention does make his teammates better by opening up the field. That said, having both is AWESOME, and Patterson and Howard will be excellent additions.

Which is great if, like we do, have more talent at the WR position.

But if you are a NFL GM and have to choose, and you don't have any good WRs, you take Rogers just because he can do more for you.

If I was given the following options which one would I choose?

A) Two Hunter's

B) Two Rogers' (Both of the Da'rick version ;) )

C) or Hunter and Rogers

I would pick C everytime. They are both different in what they do. They bring a lot to the table together. Hunter will hold a safety over the top a lot this year stretching the field in a vertical direction. Then you have Da'rick as the redzone/over the middle threat. If either is in single coverage, then it is going to be fun to watch. Hunter being back is going to make Rogers look like a God out there because he won't be double covered all game. Look what Randy Moss did for Chris Carter...

I think it should be said that our TEs should show up big this year also. If you have both of these guys on the outside then the middle of the field should be open to allow the TEs to do some nice things. The running game should be better as well (notice the Should)...

So here is a bigger question....if you were a gm and it was your pick in the draft and you were gonna take a wr who would you pick for your franchise?

Two very different wide receivers. Rogers more of a possession guy and hunter a big play guy. Put both on field together and they complement each other nicely. If I had to choose I would go hunter if I had a possession guy already on the team. Can't wait to see our offense this year.

Kinda like apples and oranges right? Different type of receiver. I like them both. I think Hunter will help keep Da's head on a little straighter.

Hunter. People don't realize just how fast he is for his size. He is just a freak of nature. He can take any given ball the distance, outjump anyone, and he can beat the fastest of corners on the deep routes.

Da'Rick is freakishly awesome too, but Hunter has elite level talent from an NFL perspective.

Really tough call but I'll go with Rogers. I hope both become as good at run blocking as they are at catching passes this year too. That's gonna be critical to get the run game going. Hopefully Hinshaw will emphasize this with all the wr's.

If I'm a NFL GM making the pick I'll take Hunter.

I can find possesion WR's everywhere but I do NOT want the distractions and Hunter is elite with his speed, jumping ability, ability to spread the field fast and maturity and TEAM attitude.

Also we see alot more possesion catches made more and more by good TE's in the NFL but you still need the things that Hunter brings to the table.

VFL...GBO!!!
