Hunter has checked out? (merged)

I see that as well...some plays he just pulls up, and generally those would have involved a good pop if he laid out for the ball.

Playing for next year...likey, but I can't blame him, he is not a big guy and can be injured easily if he went all out for every over thrown ball.

Yep, he seems to be playing to not get hurt and make it to the pros next year.
Any word in Brady's knee?

I saw Justin Hunter in his first year and he was always up in the air and making unbelievable catches this year he is just dropping balls put right in his hands. Don't know why?

Um Hunter is not playing well, but this is plain silly. If he was playing to not get hurt he would not be doing all that extra running around trying to get every yard. He would just go down.

Hunter is a year removed from major knee surgery. Nothing more, nothing less.

I really believe he is playing scared. Last year's injury may not be hindering his body, but it is tormenting his mind. There have been several times this year where he did not make a play because he was thinking about the contact. Any normal man would probably have the same problem. He needs to overcome this or he will never be back to the fearless Hunter we saw prior to the injury.

Perhaps he's pulling a Jamal Lewis...hesitant and reluctant to put himself in harms way, as he awaits the draft?

I'm not blaming him, particularly after an injury like his, but I'm just looking for an explanation...and that seems to make the most sense to me.

Both figuratively and literally. He hasn't been himself this year and what's up with running backward several times last night
Thought Millen said last night or one of the broadcasters predicting he would go first round. Not too much of a stumble. He could hook up with PM and the Broncos next year realistically.

Not true at all. It wasn't like he tried to run anyone over. He's not going hard after balls. He's not jumping or adjusting. He's dropping passes that hit him squarely in the hands.

He's playing to make it to draft day... he believes the headlines.

Unfortunately for him if he keeps it up, pro scouts don't listen to characters like McShay. They look at every video clip they can find. He is NOT a first round player right now.

Hunter's playing it safe. He'll make plays where he can, but IDT he's going to put his future at risk for a team that's playing to stay out of the basement of the SEC.

Everybody bought into the three-headed monster hype and it didn't happen. Hunter's enthusiasm seems to have dwindled with the hype and our hopes for a good season.

Anyone on here read stats before they post?
There were only 24 passing plays by Tn.
Why?
Because MS had the ball for over 10 minutes in the first , second and fourth Quarters.
Add to that Hunter and CP were covered like rugs by the best passing defense duo in the league.
If our defense could have stopped YO MAMAs last night things might have been different.
Hunter's fine.

If he were playing purely not get hurt he would catch and get down. Dude was running all over the place last night to get extra yards. Those are not the moves of someone just playing out the string.

He is a sure 1st rounder right now. After pro day he will be a top 15 pick easy.

CP will be a better pro, but don't kid yourself, Hunter will do extremely well in the NFL.
