Why would it be hard to believe that Auburn offered Freeze? They want to win.My uncle has been been best friends with Hugh since childhood. They coached together at Lambuth. He’s saying that Hugh told him he was offered the Auburn job but turned it down. Says Hugh thinks he’s going to get the Tennessee job.
It’s as solid as a source as I could think of. I just would t be surprised if Hugh was FOS about being offered the Auburn job.
and a lot of winsFreeze

Sounds like to many ego and a lot of money.
Has Napier competed in division with Bama, LSU, Auburn, A&M, and a heated rival in MState? And that’s not even including the cross division schedule. And by the way they best UGA 45-14 and could have easily won 3-4 more games had they gotten the breaks including FSU and Bama.Napier hasn’t any stinkers yet like the 5-7 last season at Ole Miss. What happened there? Why the regression if Freeze is so good? Looks similar to UT under Butch and Pruitt.
Yeah. Every team Urban beat the piss out of gets to claim the moral high ground while all his teams get are pointless wins.Ah, yes. The moral giant that is Urban Meyer.
Urban Meyer's Florida says Hi or High or "yo, cuz, call coach and get me bailed outta here...."
No
Come on now, I know you truly don’t believe that.
Random coach A went 11-2 at say Tennessee Tech.
Random coach B went 10-3 at say Vanderbilt.
Random coach A was in his first season. He took over a team that had previously went 12-1.
Random coach B was in his first season. He took over a team that had previously went 2-10.
There’s a huge difference......you, I and everyone can see it. Your simply trying to boost your argument with fallacy. Just because you say it......or even I say it doesn’t make it true.
“Record” is NOT all we have. One record vs another is not the same......and would not trump all other determining factors.
He did, but he didn’t lose to Vanderbilt either his first year... I dare to say that UL is a better program who also happens to be a top 25 team now. That’s not exactly a terrible loss for a half cocked roster for Liberty that first year. And lost to UL that year. It’s not like the guy inherited an 0-12 program. Gaaaaawd....
Weak. His record overall is 67-34. His only stint at the P5 level isn’t great. Record IS all you have else you and every other Freeze freak wouldn’t be pointing out his wins against Saban and using that record. Puhleeeese....damn it.![]()
Considering where TN football has been for the past 20 years, it’s a great place to start! Are you crazy.
He took Mississippi to their best 3 year stretch in over 50 years.......that is amazing for them. Tennessee hasn’t smelled that success since 01-04.....16 years.
He took over a 2-10 Mississippi team and in year 1 took them to 7-6 with a bowl win.
“weak”......again.....are you crazy?
a coach in the sun belt going 10-2 wouldn’t be the same as a coach in the SEC going 9-3.......you know it, I know it and everyone knows it.
No it’s not “great” to Bama or Clemson standards......but dang.......best stretch in 50+ years........”psh that’s nothing”

5-7 enough said. I’ll pull for him to succeed if he comes here but based on all the info out there I believe UT will hire someone else if Pruitt is fired.Has Napier competed in division with Bama, LSU, Auburn, A&M, and a heated rival in MState? And that’s not even including the cross division schedule. And by the way they best UGA 45-14 and could have easily won 3-4 more games had they gotten the breaks including FSU and Bama.
Apologize if its been reported on here, but does anyone know the buyout a school (Tennessee) might owe LIberty should they hire Freeze? This will absolutely matter if UT has to pay buyout on Pruitt - and they will have to I feel certain.
.Honestly think Fulmer is threatened by a potentially great coach..
