Why do you think winning 10 at Liberty erases his past from the minds of recruits and parents. Not only will other coaches share the end game he had at UM, creative fans at this level will step up as well. Have to believe some students will photoshop some pictures of Freeze all dressed up like a pimp and sit right behind the goal posts. Social media is not kind to that kind of history. The first hurdle for him to be our coach is for the money guys to be willing to fund the transition costs to get current staff out and him and his group in. I KNOW nothing, but find it hard to believe they are beating down CPF's door with money in hand. Does anybody have any solid info regarding their thoughts? Does he have an internal champion? Getting back to this level would keep the NCAA antenna up and tolerance down just like it was for Bruce at AU. Unless they get an all clear from NCAA and SEC I think it will be an uphill battle for at least a few more years.

Freeze would be the best Coach we have had leading our program since the Fulmer of 2002. Definitely better than any coach since Fulmer. Of everyone available. He would be the biggest home run hire we could make. There are several good coaches out there, but he is #1 and Tom Allen is #2.

I must do a bad job whenever I talk about Pearl or Freeze because people always jump on me as if I’m arguing that both are bad guys who can’t coach. All I’m saying is that there is risk involved when you hire either guy and you have to evaluate how much risk to the program you’re willing to accept vs how many wins you think they may be worth.

Really? And I guess ypu felt the same with Gruden? Idk how some of you fail so miserably at basic comprehension. People aren't saying, "oh I don't want freeze, he can't coach". Some of us just know it isn't gonna happen, and are smart enough to not believe trolls. Maybe it's the gullible folks who need to find another team? They're the ones who embarrassed the program nationally over the Gruden stuff.

we all want to win.
But the last 20 years have me convinced that we aren’t winning any football championships again in my lifetime.

Hope I’m wrong but that is what the recent history teaches us.

I'm just wondering where all those posters are who have been claiming he isn't good enough, there are a lot of more qualified coaches we could get, etc. Last night he beat the #12-ranked team in the country with a bunch of kids that couldn't even get a scholarship here. Coastal Carolina beat BYU, who was ranked #8 in the country at the time.

Dear power boosters: there has never been an opportunity like what we have right now, since we began our slide thirteen years ago, to get us back quickly to the top. Freeze would have us in the playoff within three years. Fire the impostor and go get him. If you sit on your hands and someone else gets him, never again say you care about UT football because your actions don't back up your words.

Hugh was so lucky to win the bowl game last night after his bone headed play calling at the end of regulation. He is not yet ready to lead a team in the SEC as a head coach. OC; Yes. Head coach; NO way.

Just say no. Move on. Nothing here for Tennessee to get excited about as a head coach.

I think i remember BYU beating an SEC team last year in the early part of the season....ive learned to block painful memories so it is kind of hazy...🤓🤓

They were absolutely stupid play calls for sure. If the QB takes a couple of knees, the clock runs down and you kick a FG for the win. Why even risk the hand off if you aren't trying to score?

You guys act like dropping 13 million dollars every 3 years should be like picking up an extra happy meal for the neighbor's kid.

It's amazing. Haslam IS loaded to the gills but he's also bright enough to know not to throw "good money after bad." He suffered through nearly a decade of the Browns looking...... very brown and changing coaches like diapers.

Of course, he could tap Hue Jackson to lead the Vols to glory........

People like you are why we didn't get Mullen. There's subjective opinion, and then there's just being dishonest to the detriment of others, which you are doing.

You may have missed this, but Freeze has already coached in the SEC. He was so not ready that he beat Saban two years in a row. Stop being dishonest.
