Imagine not wanting a coach because of one play. LaughableComplete bonehead call by Hugh in the bowl game vs. Coastal Carolina. Tried not to score and run more clock and it got him a fumble instead. Although Liberty won in OT that was just an awful call by Hugh and I would never hope to see him in Orange and White.
I would add Indiana head football coach Tom Allen to that list.Pearl shouldn't have been fired. Tennessee didn't have the balls to stick by him and it's easy to see the impact he has had on Auburn basketball.
Freeze has baggage but that goes away with winning. America is about second chances right?
Finally, it doesn't have to be freeze for me. I'm take any of these over cornbreads sorry ass.
Freeze
Gus
Chadwell
Fickell
Campbell
#firepruitt choose joy Volnation.
We've seen this coach before, it's Dooley all over again. Numbers don't lie
Freeze can counter the negative recruiting. Especially now. 10 win season at LIBERTY. just beat #12 team in America. Beat Syracuse, and Virginia tech. He hasn’t been in the news for bad things, only good wins and history making wins for that minuscule until now) team. This year
The guy saying he won’t recruit well is lying to himself. He absolutely would kill it here. Anyone can get a top 25 class at a place like Tennessee. And so will He. Besides he is hottest coach on the market right now. Him or Campbell (who I would prefer).
I must do a bad job whenever I talk about Pearl or Freeze because people always jump on me as if I’m arguing that both are bad guys who can’t coach. All I’m saying is that there is risk involved when you hire either guy and you have to evaluate how much risk to the program you’re willing to accept vs how many wins you think they may be worth.Without Pearl, there is no Barnes. Pearl restored the program.
Really? And I guess ypu felt the same with Gruden? Idk how some of you fail so miserably at basic comprehension. People aren't saying, "oh I don't want freeze, he can't coach". Some of us just know it isn't gonna happen, and are smart enough to not believe trolls. Maybe it's the gullible folks who need to find another team? They're the ones who embarrassed the program nationally over the Gruden stuff.Whoever doesn't want Freeze needs to go ahead and choose a different team to cheer for.

*see how that works now?

I'm just wondering where all those posters are who have been claiming he isn't good enough, there are a lot of more qualified coaches we could get, etc. Last night he beat the #12-ranked team in the country with a bunch of kids that couldn't even get a scholarship here. Coastal Carolina beat BYU, who was ranked #8 in the country at the time.
Dear power boosters: there has never been an opportunity like what we have right now, since we began our slide thirteen years ago, to get us back quickly to the top. Freeze would have us in the playoff within three years. Fire the impostor and go get him. If you sit on your hands and someone else gets him, never again say you care about UT football because your actions don't back up your words.

They were absolutely stupid play calls for sure. If the QB takes a couple of knees, the clock runs down and you kick a FG for the win. Why even risk the hand off if you aren't trying to score?Hugh was so lucky to win the bowl game last night after his bone headed play calling at the end of regulation. He is not yet ready to lead a team in the SEC as a head coach. OC; Yes. Head coach; NO way.
Just say no. Move on. Nothing here for Tennessee to get excited about as a head coach.
They just covered a big buyout =3 years ago.=Every major program has a booster or booster group who will cover a buyout. If Fulmer is having trouble raising the funds, he’s not an effective AD. Fulmer got the job with basically the support of one person during a time of panic and disfunction. If that person wants Fulmer to remain AD, he will have to pony up the money to cover Fulmer’s error with the hire and extension. If Fulmer’s backer won’t cover for him, someone else will step in and put their own people in charge. That’s how it works.
People like you are why we didn't get Mullen. There's subjective opinion, and then there's just being dishonest to the detriment of others, which you are doing.Hugh was so lucky to win the bowl game last night after his bone headed play calling at the end of regulation.
