They tried to hire a guy that turned a blind eye to child rape and was notorious for being an absolute ass, if not outright abusive, to his players in college and the pros.

I’m sorry. I damn near choked on my drink laughing at the thought of our administration having some coherent super secret plan to remove an incompetent coach and bring in an elite coach in his place. I’m sure Fulmer is putting in more thought onto what kind of sprinkles he wants on his donuts than removing Pruitt or hiring another coach.

Look... he brought the criticism on himself. It is what it is. But I’ve got some friends that are very close to him and his family and I’m convinced that he genuinely loves his wife, his daughters, and seeks to obey the Lord. The guy has his struggles but he owns it and he’s not going to stop TRYING to be like Jesus despite his public failures. I respect that.

The difference between Freeze and phony Christians in my opinion is Freeze genuinely loves Jesus and seeks to do things God’s way because he’s thankful for what Jesus did. I understand we’re getting into religious talk so I’ll pull it back but I think a lot of people misinterpret who he is. Again, he brought it on himself but still... it’s hard for me to see

How can me saying Tennessee will not hire HF considered as being negative. The truth is Tennessee can do better than fans like you with non realistic expectations. We have a coach aren't currently looking for one but people like you are fantasizing over another schools coach. If anything is negative it's you wishing that our coach is replaced with HF.

I hate to be negative and like playing along with the coaching searches on here as much as anyone.

But the way I see it, we are pretty well screwed.

We have one group of boosters who had to cut a deal to get out federal indictments. And they have taken 8 years and Lord knows how much heartburn to get the Browns in the playoffs.

We have an AD who couldn't get a legit offer for another major coaching job in 12 years since being fired.

And we have a president who signed off on giving Fulmer and Pruitt extensions in the middle of a pandemic.

I don't have a shred of confidence in any of these people to make a quick decision on Pruitt and go outside the box on hiring someone like Freeze.

He's another new guy making big inside predictions. Most know it's a troll job, sadly a few will believe it like they did beaver.

We have a coach that started a bum and it cost him his career.

Pruitt is obviously not the guy. It’s not even up for question right now.

PRUITT IS NOT THE GUY.

He made his bed when he started Guarantano all of 2019. 2020 was the fate sealer. He’s a bad coach, and possibly a complete idiot. Anyone—with any sort of football IQ saw it a year ago.

It’s time to move on. And the perfect candidate in waiting. And we’re watching him right now.

Freeze beat Bama twice and had ole miss #1 in the country.

Chadwell has the mid major funk where it seems like his system works, but has the potential to be a flop.

I think Freeze has experience in the sec. understands the sec. knows what he wants to accomplish with his program, and he can recruit and build the program that makes Sense and is competitive in the SEC.

I woundnt be upset if we hired Chadwell, but certainly not thrilled. Hugh Freeze is the closest thing to a grand slam that we can expect at Tennessee.

I would have loved being a fly on the wall during the conversation where Fulmer had to explain how a face mask or gaiter works to Pruitt.

All these folk saying the Vols can't afford to buy Pruitt out and hire a new coach makes me laugh.

Hell...Pruitt directly cost the program 930K this season in firing Brumbaugh and not being able to wear a mask correctly. I'm not sure of the mental gymnastics they have to go through to justify keeping the moron.

Common sense is in short supply in Knoxville though.

Ole Miss was never ranked number 1 in the country under Freeze. The highest that they got was number 3.
