Thanks for playing? Oh you mean I should be a whiny pizzy pants like you? It’s much safer to try nothing because 3-7 is acceptable.

Unlike you, I actually have a degree from the University of Tennessee, and I will never get enjoyment from watching my am Alma Mater flounder when there is an obvious solution.
Do I seem like I'm enjoying it? I'm not.

Do I live in reality? I do.

The reality is: the boosters AREN'T lining up to replace Pruitt (and hopefully Fulmer) and until they do, we will keep them.

It sucks. I wish they'd fling more money at the program to help but they almost certainly won't until after (possibly during) next season.

Harsin feels like a change for the sake of change hire to me.

I can get their frustration with Malzahn with the inconsistency. They just lost too many games they should have won. And being a supposed offensive genius, his offenses looked pretty shaky at times.

But Harsin is going to have a learning curve and a tough job recruiting unless he brings in a bunch of assistants with ties all over the SE...which could well be their plan. Think the guy can succeed but it will be interesting to see how it shakes out.

I don’t think it has a snowball’s chance in hell of succeeding and Auburn is going to replace us as the program that shouldn’t be so awful that is....they deserve it. I am an elitist and I only think state flagships should be allowed in the SEC, with LSU being the exception. And I’ll allow Miss State, although I would bounce them if we could get Univ of Virginia and Univ of North Carolina.

The man was on the cover of Christian living, while he was calling hookers from his school allocated cell phone. I’m not that religious, but it seems he’s what church goers call a wolf in sheep clothing. I think it would be hilarious if we hired him. Half pastor, half whoremonger. 😂
He’s not a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He’s a guy who made a mistake that almost destroyed his family. Him being a Christian doesn’t make him bulletproof to the things that tempt every man. He’s not a pastor or a whoremonger. He’s a coach who openly follows Christ. He made a catastrophic mistake. He’s owned it and has moved on.

Lol this should tell you all you need to know about these idiots who claim to be Christian men and women. Volfan is right, he made a mistake.

He actually made a few years' worth of mistakes; however, that is his personal life and has no direct bearing on his ability to coach other than possible recruiting ammo for other schools. The recruiting issues on the other hand.....

You're a lot more optimistic about the future of the Vols than I am. And I bleed Orange like most everyone else still around on this board that isn't a troll.

Until it is proven otherwise, we are stuck with Pruitt.

Really think any thought of the powers that be having some kind of super secret plan to cut Pruitt with cause and bringing in Freeze is giving the braintrust in Knoxville far too much credit.

Unfortunately you’re correct. If history tells us anything, they’d have a cure for cancer before they’d have a plan this well put together

The reality is that Hugh Freeze is going to be an absolute home run hire for us. Whether you think it’s impossible for the University of Tennessee to ever make the right decision is irrelevant.

Have we made awful decisions in the past? Yes absolutely.

Does that mean we should continue to make terrible decisions? No.

We’ve shown the power of our fanbase in preventing Schiano from getting hired.

If we applied the same logic and tried to use our collective voice in shaping the decision being made that would benefit our program, I believe we could.

Instead I listen to visionless yokels who probably didn’t even graduate high school much less from the University of Tennessee make burner phone jokes about Hugh freeze without even having any ideas of realistic potential coaching hires that make a modicum of sense.

Bottom line:

Hugh Freeze is a very good coach that has the potential to be the guy that brings Tennessee back. There isn’t a hire that makes as much sense or potential for us.

UT doesn't hire guys who have made mistakes in the past. It will never happen.

We only hire guys with a clean slate that want to get their foot in the door. Guys who sound southern to play the part of a true UT coach. Guys who barley know where Xs and Os go on a football field that still have trouble figuring out where I's, L's and R's go. Aiiight.

I feel that bro. UT being slick will never happen.

Holy shnikes—well said. Now all the hyuck hyuck’s please read this like 7 times and never make another Hugh Freeze burner phone joke again.

What man is the same as he was 5-6 yrs ago. Better yet, those rambunctious yrs of their 20's. I know I've changed. Got the wounds and scars to prove it. Now, I'm a Blood washed Believer. I know what true Grace is. Freeze has repented before God, so it doesn't matter what we think of his past. He's been forgiven and lives a different life now. Not held down by the yoke of bondage.
