Not only is Coach Freeze winning at Liberty but he is beating Power 5 schools in the process. He also is out recruiting the coaches at Tennessee. It’s one thing for a 4* to commit to Tennessee then it’s totally different when a 4* commits to Liberty with the 1/4th of the resources an SEC has.

Matt Campbell, Freeze, Bill Clark, or Luke Fickle is a better option than what we currently have.

Well, he has said TN is his dream job. I said what I did because most coaches feel the need to finish what they started before they take over at another school. Some make the jump but most have great relationships with the kids and don’t want to desert them.

Why hire freeze or schiano ?
First of all they are both better than Jones, Dooley and Pruitt three nobody's. Let me say that again 3 nobody's.

Schiano worked at Penn State , was that before they started their child prostitution ring out of the second mile foundation.
Remember those parents knew damn well they were pawning there kids out for money , gifts etc... If the truth were really told about that ordeal the whole place including pennsylvania politicians would be shut down.
So would I hire Schiano, probably not only because of his TB Bucs episode.
He was a nobody at PSU .

Biggest problem is Sankey has banished him from SEC employment. He wasn't allowed into the Saban Rehabilitation Program For Wayward Coach's, so why would he approve the hire as head coach at TN?

What about Urban Meyer? You know assuming Fulmer buys a Lotto ticket and hits for 20-30 mil.

Naah, I'll hang around. Been a UT fan all my life, I just see things clearly. Until we get the Doug Dickey 'WIN' approach back, we are gonna be stuck in mediocrity, though we are slipping even below that.

The pathway to championships is more likely at UT than Mississippi and Kiffin knows this. It also gives Pruitt a chance that he can't deny he had to turn it around. It also saves us another buyout. And at this point in time Pruitt is still recruiting well so the cupboard would not be bare at that point if we did make a change. GBO!

Sankey has no say in who is hired. There is absolutely nothing he can do to any SEC school for hiring a coach not under NCAA sanctions.

We should but I seriously doubt the admin would even consider it.

Fans want to win, the admin doesn’t care. It all comes down to booster’s pressure on them. Do they still care? Do they trust Fulmer to do it?

It’s hard to believe anyone in the offices actually want us to succeed anymore.

Let us not forget. Kiffen signed a contract in October 2009.

Then just a mere few months later actually paid $800,000 to get out of it which was probably more than he made the whole year at Tennessee after taxes.

So he ain't coming back to Tennessee to win no championship. Nope.

In his order of importance MONEY is clearly first.

He will come back for the money.

However that is something Tennessee just happens to be short on until 2025.

The Vols need to hire the football equivalent of Rick Barnes, a veteran coach who makes good use of his players talents, relates to his players well, and recruits tough minded kids. Hire the North Dakota State head coach and staff who have developed a FCS powerhouse is who comes to mind. Not a southern guy? Neither was Nick Saban.

In the first half against the Hogs, the Vols seemed to have had their stuff together, running the ball well and making no turnovers, good signs. The second half was pathetic. They made adjustments to our run game and stopped it cold and JG did nothing to help lead us in the right direction. Bailey played ok for the short time in but seemed to have more poise. I think this is the week you give the keys over to Bailey and see what he can really do, and get ready for next fall.
