I think so, but boosters will not care. If they know they can get Freeze they'll pull the trigger I think. They would have fired him last time but they couldn't come up with anyone worth a flip to hire that they knew they could get. FWIW they have one one the richest football crazed donors in the country, nothing he wouldn't do.

That's the exact reason I think Auburn might make a play for Freeze, those 2 wins against the commies carry a bunch of weight in Alabama.

I wanted Freeze but I know the situation was tough and that's why he landed at Liberty and not a power 5

If you read the court transcripts, one of the whistle-blower kids said in no uncertain terms that Schiano walked in on him being sexually abused in the showers by the old man , stared at them for a moment, left without ever saying a word....and never told a soul. No records that Schiano ever told anyone at PSU or tried to stop the abuse.

I have read the court papers with my own 2 eyes . It is clear, and damning unless you think 1 of dozens of kids who was abused and raped by an old man just decided to name Schiano for no reason...with absolutely nothing to gain from it.

The dude is guilty of covering it up. If you see child molestation and do nothing to put an end to it ....you are complicit....and a POS person. I dont care if it would have possibly cost him his job...which it wouldn't have.

You're missing the point. I didn't claim the allegations were right or wrong, but that there was no clear evidence to support the poster's claim that he was not guilty. In all likelihood, almost any coach within the framework of Paterno's team likely knew there was a snake lurking within.

Yes, I agree with you based on all the evidence, but another poster somehow came to the conclusion that Schiano wasn't guilty. I also agree with you in child molestation, and Paterno and others should have not looked the other way. These crimes are horrible.

Of all the coaches with checkered pasts, I’d probably take any of them over his past. Give me Art Briles, Lane Kiffin, or Bobby Petrino over Freeze

I’m not defending the action. But would I hire a man who was good at his job but had cheated on his spouse? Yes.

Would I hire a man who was buying prostitutes for 18-22 year olds (possibly recruits who could’ve been younger) and has a reputation as a being creepy with teenage girls? No

I seem to remember when Freeze became available and Pruitt wanted him, some on Volnation said Fulmer tried to help get him and league office told them not to touch him.

We'll probably be able to get Kirby, he just lost his 2nd in a row to his toughest 2 opponents and the weak USCjrs beat him last season, tragedy in Athens.

Fulmer is not going to hire guys like Kiffin or Freeze. But i agree both are better than what we have now

He fraudulently put his bimbo on the Arky AD payroll, which launched an investigation, which was the real cause of his firing. It wasn't the infidelity.

You do understand the difference between allegations and convictions? If there were even remotely substantive proof of him having broken the law, don't you think he would be in jail right now rather than coaching?

It's from a USA Today article that interviewed former students from his High School. They talked about being forced to change clothes in his office, etc. 13-15 year olds mostly. They have a closed Facebook page called Victims of Hugh Freeze.

Not saying there's evidence of this, just providing the source of the rumors. Combined with calling hookers, show cause, etc it made him radioactive to everyone but Fallwell Jr.

That's a valid position as long as you weren't against Schiano for the allegations against him.
