There are 50 billionaires living on Palm Beach. Is it "fair" for them to pay the same state taxes as someone living in a mobile home in the western part of the state and barely making a living doing farm work because they both have to buy groceries and gas for their cars ?

Yes

If the billionaire somehow lost their money and lived in a mobile home, the answer is yes. If the person in the mobile home became a billionaire, the the answer is yes.

Anytime you go to a business, gas station, restaurant, movie theater etc. we all pay the same prices.

Its about a third of the budget. I don't see DOGE having anywhere close to that kind of impact.

And we have trouble enough down here just catching people driving uninsured. Its rampant. How you are going to tax cars seems really difficult.
