I agree but it will take 2 years of that to get him fired. He literally just beat UGA (twice) and UF

That bought him some equity for sure. It's better than not beating them.

Of course, understanding that you beat Mark Richt on his way out and a guy in his first year as a HC should factor in. As well as UF being very mediocre by their results against Arkansas, FSU, and Bama where they lost by 18,21, whatever Bama felt like that day.

So basically it's a point against us if the coach is coming in (UGA)
It's a point against us if the coach is on the way out (UGA Richt)
And it's a point against us if the coach is right in the middle (UF)

Wow, tough crowd.

More understanding what you beat.

I remember many blowing off Vandy as not beating good UT teams with Dooley and Jones first year. Dont see this much different really.

Just giving you a hard time.
A general summation of things I've read today. Our ooc cupcakes don't count, in conference lightweight wins don't count and now, there's a grain of salt to added to beating some of the big dogs.

Just seems when we talk about other teams, they get credit for all of their wins. We take tough love to a bit of an extreme.

As long as he wins two games this year, I am ok with Butch for another year. Rebuilding.

Depends on who you read, no different than the media.

I'm fine with saying Vandy beat bad UT teams in the past (Not as much this year) and the UF and UGA teams this year were mediocre.

It's better than losing but that wasn't 01' UT/UF or Ainge taking down a good UGA on the road.

I can agree with that, but it definitely wasn't one of our legendary defenses out there trying to stop them either.

Closely matched teams and we came out ahead. That's all I ask.

If he only wins two games, I will help him gtfo.

I agree UT wasn't full strength in Nashville especially on D, but that wasn't the best Vandy team in the last 5 years either. UT had plenty enough to cover, it just didn't.

Why is he talking about Georgia and you're talking about Vandy? What am I missing?

Except I didn't say anything about Vandy, we were talking about how much credit to give the Georgia and Florida wins.
It's not like you just to throw in a random negative.

I used them as an example of what UT fans were saying when Vandy won. You know, the whole "point against" comment. Vandy didn't beat very good UT teams. The same can be said for UT beating UF and UGA this year. I know thats not altogether popular but it doesnt make it any less true.

So I'm talking about giving credit for beating UF n Georgia and you're talking about what other people (not me) said about Vandy as a response.
* and getting a like for doing so.

Well derf bouillon to you sir :)

And I said winning those games is better than losing them but also add the fact that neither were good teams. Which apparently didn't sit well.

The Vandy comment was of my own and a comparison to what many UT fans say about Vandys recent wins over UT, " so? we weren't very good".

After that, I have no idea at this point.

It's been done before without em.

Yea, there was more there that I decided to delete and left that. Sometimes I get carried away. :)

Anyway, I understood your post about Vandy, I just didn't understand the "switch". You mad?

I kid. Haha.

The accurate comparison is did Vandy fans think the win over UT was a good win. If all 6 of them agree yes, then UT fans should feel the same about beating the big name programs that we struggle with.

You will have to go back a page for the "derf bullion binoculars Lyle" remark.

The question is what does Currie find acceptable... and not acceptable. He has said that he won't be pinned down on number of wins. He has also said that he expects to win championships. So what would be objectionable enough to get CBJ fired this year? Finishing in the bottom half of the SEC, with losses to our top 3 rivals, both SECW teams and a lower SECE team like SCAR, Vandy or UK might do it.

lol how is this destructive?

What game will they lose because of this thread?
Which recruit will say "I saw that post of Volnation back in June and I choose to go to a different school."

I enjoyed your genuine concern and overreaction.

posters are fooled if they don't think new recruits and there family don't look at the free message boards,to see what there fans are like

I think it is in spite of how much the fans *****.moan and gripe about there team, instead they listen to the coaches recruiting them

so I do think being an ass about a recruit does count,it isn't just one post, but an accumulation of hate for the player overall

you can't say you haven't seen it either, instead of a welcome to the mighty Vols, you see a you suck, wished we had this guy or that one,am I wrong ?
