5 ypc isn’t elite. Swift is near 10 this year and over 7 for his career. After Swift I’d take Kylin Hill from MSU, and then I’m not really sure after that.Of course not, he’s a Gator. He’s most certainly one of the top five all-purpose backs in the league; almost 2,000 career rushing yards on 381 carries, that’s a 5 yards per carry average, another 500 yards receiving on 41 catches, and 21 total td’s. And many HUGE plays in HUGE games over his career; he’s the LSU killer, took one 80 yards to the house v FSU and was a human highlight film v Michigan in the Peach Bowl.
But I should probably trust your opinion on great RB’s more so than Reggie Bush’s who recently called Perine “the most versatile playmaker in the country.”

Anyone disagree that D'Andre Swift is the best in the SEC?

Swift, Vaughn, Harris, Hill, Rountree
Really like Ty and Eric, neither are top 7-8 in the league. Maybe top 10.
I like how your entire argument revolves around appeals to authority; and not even a good authority. Just because Reggie Bush was a good college RB, doesn't make him an expert NFL RB scout. Indeed, players are typically poor talent scouts.
Perine is not top 5 because there are at least 4-5 RBs on Alabama and Georgia alone that are better than him. It's not some weird anti-Gator bias I have. Georgia and Bama's rosters are loaded with elite RBs and I hate both Bama and Georgia more than Florida. Note, that Perine is also a Senior, which means he's almost by definition not "elite", since he would've left for the NFL Draft this year if he were.
Frankly, I think Perine is one of the most overrated RBs in the SEC. He's borderline top 10 at best. He's a good RB; but he's in a league loaded with great RBs. Fwiw, I'd take both Chandler and Gray over Perine. I'd take half the RBs on Georgia and Bama's rosters, as well. Probably at least 2-4 others I'd take over Perine, as well. I'd have him somewhere around #9 - #13 in the SEC.

Chandler is averaging 6.3 a carry (2 yards more than Gray) and has carried it more times.Go re-watch both games and count how many passes Chandler dropped.
Eric Gray is a much better RB
