Can someone create a thread with a poll? I do not know how to create one or I would...
A
B
C
D
F
Etc
Curious to see the numbers and how VN rates the class.
Thanks!

B.

Shocking the nation and landing at least one of the big names we supposedly had a shot at would have earned an A.

As it is, I'm pleasantly surprised and think CDD is a bit ahead of par, so a solid B.

I gave him an A. I'm an easy grader. If you are 10 out of 120 FBS teams you get an A.

If you are 5 out of 12 SEC Teams you probably get a C+

Like I said - I choose to be optimistic - Coach 'em up CDD !

Building block class. You have to lay the foundation before you start building the house. This class accomplished that by establishing depth at key positions.

We're still shorthanded at DT and LB, and today's misses drop what had potential to be an A class down to a solid B.

I am a B+, A guy and graded the class a B.

Althouh I gave an A in another thread. I am recanting after thinking about it and went with a solid B.

A all the way.

We addressed major needs, we brought in 12 "4 star" players, we landed a bunch of players who are going to fit our system.

Would have been an absolute blow out A+++ class if we could have landed Wright and Dawson...wish we had one more DT/LB.

I'm in the B+ camp. If we'd landed Dawson or another big DT and come in at #10 or so, I'd have given it an A. Still a good, solid class and in line with, or slightly ahead of, expectations. Welcome, Class of 2011!

If Dooley is right, we have a bunch of dudes who will:

1-Be loyal to UT
2-Stay out of trouble
3-Keep their grades up
4-Contribute on the field

Yay for some schools who sign/oversign a bunch of "non-academic" thugs. We've done that before. Where did it get us? A listing in an imaginary recruiting ranking and a coach fired...and a lot of defections...and arrests. Dooley appears confident that the dudes he signed will do the 4 things listed above. I'd rather have 27 that will be here for 4 years than add some "studs" who never see the field. I give it a solid B+. Woulda been an A had we landed another DE.

Yep.

IMO with Bray's playing style, Hunter on one end and Arnett on the other, and the massive holes in the front seven we've got...

Tennessee's going to be a very exciting team to watch over the next couple years. Win or lose, many of our games are going to have a lot of points on the board.

A good, very solid class. Defensive backs are definitely the strength of this class--and it seems like we signed one or two GOOD wideouts. Yes, it would have been nice to get 1 more DT and 1 more LB--the two positions where we are very thin. As a result, we truly need the DTs and LBs in this class to develop and be good. We only signed three LBs to backstop a returning group that is at best average, so fingers crossed with Johnson, Maggitt and the other kid.

Otherwise, let's hope Lane is fully recovered from his knee injury. We need him healthy. I'm curious do see whether Devrin Young will actually help us with his speed and elusiveness--or just become another undersized guy who sits on the bench. We also need Richardson to develop into a kick-a$$ OT. I think Clear will have to learn to play OT. If his height and weight numbers are correct, I can't see him playing TE unless he's freakishly athletic. Don't have much feel for most of the OL prospects. Most will need a year or two in weight room but should provide good depth if not more. A good job by the coaches, for sure.
