He was looking very solid through Game 10 last season, but those last two blowout losses...to mediocre teams in the grand scheme of things...raised a lot of concerns. It honestly didn’t look any different than Butch in those two games.
However, we have to give the guy a legit chance and not judge just based on a small sample size.
But, I’m with you, he has to move this thing forward if he is going to be the guy.
Just in case you and Basket Vol missed it, I'm a fan of Pruitt. I'm very optimistic he's going to do really well here and I'm excited about this upcoming season.
I was just disappointed overall last year. We can blame whatever or whoever we want, but he's the HC and my opinion is he could have done better.
going into his 2nd spring practice and will he and the team show incredible improvement in year 2 as many great coaches before him have?
Weak schedule, experienced team, talented newcomers and top notch staff. We're gonna win more than we lose next year I think and upset one of the big3 along the way. Results stunk last year but Coach Pruitt has done a bunch right in a short time. B+ but only because we had a losing record last year, win and it would have been an A.
I was at the Missouri game. What a ****ing mess and embarrassment. Right when we started to climb back into the game, Fils-Aime coughed it up and I promptly exited the stadium.
White trash Missouri fans sitting right behind me cheering and talking trash the entire game in our own stadium.
As negative as this sounds, this is on the players.

Mother of god.... I actually forgot about that. Probably a repressed memory from the pain it caused me.Can’t forget Chryst throwing up an absolute duck that was basically a pick six. They scored like two plays after the INT was returned to the 10ish yard line.
I hope someone is rating him after 3 seasons because that’s when he’s going to want an extension and raise.I ain't rating or ratting him until he's had 4 years here. He's not Harry Potter, nor is he Dr. Stephen Strange. There ain't no magic to transforming a team or program as bad as the UT Vols have been. It took time to drag it down as low as we are now. It will take time and lots of sweat to drag us higher up. So kindly stop the foolishness.
and our far superior coach delivered us unexpected wins against Auburn and a really good Kentucky squad. It was almost the same roster with what is supposed to be a far superior coach.
He was also the mastermind behind Miz and Vandy. I would have him in the B camp if we win even one of those games but the “no show” in those two games, after they showed they could do it vs Aub, Ky, and largely, SC, puts those two losses squarely on Pruitt and still real head scratchers to me!How can you blame a coach for losing with a terrible roster that he didn't even recruit
He was the mastermind behind the Kentucky win by constructing a perfect defensive game plan.
Mullen had a much better roster, what is your point?

Jeremy Pruitt is a proven winner and his mentor is the greatest coach of all time. Trust the process.
Pruitt coached Jalen Ramsey, Rashaan Evans, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Roquan Smith, Da'ron pain.
He also coached the leader of the raven's defense, Marlon Humphrey.
"When expressing his appreciation for Pruitt, who has the reputation of a players coach, it appears that Crimson Tide CB Marlon Humphrey took a shot at former Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart.
'I feel like he cares more about us than previous coordinators we’ve had,' Humphrey said according to Marq Burnett of SEC Country " (Andrew Olson, Saturday Down South).
Expect a big jump in year two, very few coaches that don’t make that jump last past year 4 so everyone will know this year if Pruitt is the real deal. Still think 8 wins is the floor (and been blasted for it). 4 cupcakes is a given and going just 4-4 in the league is within reason imo. Friend will have that OL in much better shape if he follows his own history. Players can just instinctively play instead of having to overthink every play.
Can I be wrong? Yep, already missed the mark on recruiting. I predicted a top 5 class for Pruitt in what is called the bump class. Figured top 10 at worst, honestly surprised he didn’t hit top 10.:You are just selling your vision and a players dream of early, early playing time. Normally the bump class is the high mark for a coaches recruiting. Players don’t look at the play on the field. This year, they will. He must win on the field this year, if he does, think he will crack top 10.
Think UT beats UF this year. I predicted AU last year, for months.

I do think he’s the right guy...just need some real progress this year.
Lol give me a break.
