How do we sellout vs KY and not Mizzou?

Who claims AJ's a factor in their not attending Saturday? (crickets...the...wind...coyotes howling in the distance). Weather? (heads shake as shoulders are shrugging). The holiday season will take a toll, but let's expect at least 95k. It'll be a good day for the scalpers. UT by 10.

37 years old and this is my first ever Tennessee game in Neyland. I just purchased 4 tickets in Level SL Section I Row 59. I will get to see them run through the T live for the first time in my life at the same time as my 8yo son.

I have a few questions coming in from Charlotte?
Where is the best place to park?
When will they have the Vol Walk?
Where is a great place to have lunch?
adding anything else would be great!!!

Just so you know, I was always a Vol fan as a little kid but with a stepdad and a non-sports family I was the only one into sports. We were poor as I grew up so purchasing tickets or a trip out of town wasn't possible for me. I have ran around the stadium during road races and practice when I went to college at LMU but that is the closest I ever came to Tennessee football except for watching it all my life on TV. My son has given me the desire to make sure he gets to see them live... its like I will be lwhat iving through his eyes on Saturday. Very excited!!
So happy for you. What a thrill to be with your son for both your 1st time inside the greatest place on earth.I hope you both have a blast and enjoy the game.

This is absolutely true. And I don't get it, either.

Y'all rival Nebraska fans on the arrogance scale. It's like the last two years of Mizzou/Tennessee didn't happen.

Give it time tiger. It's not that we'll never see you as a rival it's just that you haven't been in the SEC long enough. These SEC rivals go back generations. You guys might have won the east and beat us two years in a row but it's going to take more than that, mostly longevity.

I'm not certain what this has to do with y'all being arrogant.

Oh wait.

Says the guy that walks into the middle of a Tennessee room and talks s***. Oh wait, no you didn't. You just signed up on a forum for no other reason than to run your mouth anonymously. How's that for arrogance?

I'd have more respect for you if you actually did walk into a room full of Tennessee fans and tell them how arrogant they all are.

I don't blame you for coming here though. Missouri's forum is the biggest piece of s*** I've ever seen and the fans are retarded to boot. Now take your stanky bulls**** back to the hole you crawled out of and piss off, Gaylord Focker.

Need a little help. A MU buddy of mine went to the game in Knoxville in 2012....he claims Mizzou had over 30,000 fans. Can anyone there verify?

I was at the UT-Bama game this year. BAMA doesn't have 30K at Neyland. That number is beyond absurd.

For the mathematically challenged, that's approaching 1 out of every 3rd seat. Umm.....NO.

Bama easily had 25,000 there. A lot of those tickets were due to UT fans selling their tickets for profit. And to think we criticize others for having a band wagon fan base is hypocritical. UT is and has always been a soft fanbase.

On the other hand UT showed their stupidity by requesting a night game in late November and expecting a sellout.

lol. We're a few thousand short, at most. I guess the AJ thread wasn't apocryphal enough for some of you. You have to be doomsday about attendance.

I didn't know the schools requested the time of their game. Interesting.

Nebraska owned Mizzou for YEARS.

The disrespect you perceive stems from the fact that many of us do not believe you've "earned" it yet. Last year, time after time opponents suffered critical injuries or issues just before playing you. What you experienced with one of your better teams ever vs Auburn is closer to the norm of competition in the East than what you've seen so far.

This year, you've flat out played a lame schedule by SEC standards. Without considering UT which would be unfair for a UT fan to do... You will end the season having played SEC D's that rank around 9th on avg... including 4 of the worst 5 D's. The O's you will have faced sans UT will have an avg ranking around 8th. The highest ranked D you will have faced is 5th... UGA... who shut you out. The highest ranked O is TAM... who was playing without their starting QB.

In the end, you will probably play the bottom two teams from the West as your cross division opponents.

Because of the good fortune you seem to have been blessed with over the past couple of years, it is difficult for fans who've been through the fires for years to just "give" you respect. We simply don't think you've earned it.

The whacky thing is that you've probably getting a lame cross division draw next year too with Arkansas and an MSU team that loses practically everyone... and probably their coach. But UT appears to be turning around pretty quickly now. The missing piece on O right now is the OL which should be improved. Kamara and Hurd should give UT a RB duo comparable to anyone in CFB. The D gets all but two in the two deep back. UF could turn on a dime if they get the right coach.

USCe has probably seen their time come and go- especially if Spurrier decides to become a full time golfer.

The long and the short of it is that you will be taken serious by UT fans when you beat a team that we consider the "norm" for UT football. It's coming.

I actually bought four for my family earlier this week. I was surprised how many were available even on Monday. I will be there destroying my vocal chords like I do every time I am in Neyland. I actually still get flashbacks of all the times I marched on that field.

The time of the game is dictated by the TV contract these days. The game time is set by the broadcasters up to 10 days in advance of the game. IIRC.
