Hmmmm, am I reading that right?

I read it the same way you did. Should we welcome him back into the fold?

Think about it...

Over 12K posts and not as annoying the rest of JortNation.....do I sense a face turn for him in the future?

I've been to plenty of November football games in my lifetime but the absolute coldest has to be in Columbia, MO in 2015. I know it's been mentioned several times but, dear Lord, it didn't matter how many layers you had on. It was brutally cold.

Yes, I'm actually D4H's other alter ego, and I also have a Masters' degree from Duke.

By far the hottest UT game I ever attended was Auburn 1987. It was sunny and in the mid 80s with a nice breeze ... and I had my short shorts wearing girlfriend (now wife) with me. I was in full meltdown for hours.

'91 UCLA. They ran out of ice. In the second half there were probably more people in the concourse and on the ramps than in the stands.

Went to the Kentucky game a couple of years ago. It was cold as crap, but thankfully there was a wall of people around me.

Johnny Majors' last game was at Vanderbilt. I was sitting in the old bleachers in the open end zone and it was cold, wet and the wind was whipping up under those old bleachers and I nearly froze. It probably wasn't really that cold but with the mist and wind, it sure seemed like it sitting on those old HS bleachers.

Was at both of those games. Sat it FF for FL too ironically enough. The hallways look like a war zone.

APSU was hot, but not as much as UF.

Coldest for me was UK. Forget the year.

UK 2000 was the coldest I have been to. It was 33 degrees when I got out of the car and decided I would leave the blanket since I thought it would warm up during the day. At halftime it was 32 and concessions ran out of coffee.

Hottest was Florida last yr. Was in section FF and didn't have shade until less than 3 mins to go. A close second was Austin Peay in 2013.

Coldest was Vandy in 2013.

These are mine exactly. Same section for Florida and everything.

At least the heat paid off for Florida. The win was worth it. Vandy in 2013 was the coldest I've ever been, and ended with a terrible loss to Vandy.

I dont remember the hottest. The coldest for me wasnt a vols game, it was Titans / Cowboys on Christmas night sometime around 2001. Not sure on year exactly. I was two rows from the top of the stadium around the 50. I was talking trash to a Cowboys fan in front of me. We made a bet to take of our shirts if the game got to a certain score. Took me about 30 minutes to thaw my fingers out after the game.

I've done some tailgating at Ohio State when it's been absolutely frigid, but people at least have heaters and such. No way in hell I'd pay to watch them play in it

Actually, the hottest might have been a game I went to at NC State There were people strewn about the ground. I'm not a ***** when it comes to hot weather but I had to leave. Also because like cold OSU games, I don't care enough about the game to be miserable, and I was also slightly drunk :)

Vandy 2013 was brutally cold. Missouri last year was pretty cold too. Got some advice for cold games from a Wisconsin student; carry in 2 pieces of cardboard. One to stand on and one to sit on. It's a light weight buffer to the cold and can be left behind after the game.

Without a doubt, 1983 Liberty Bowl in Memphis. Boston College and Notre Dame....Ice in the stands and people building fires to try stay warm....Hottest.. a bunch but the 1999 Memphis/Vols game in Knoxville was sweltering....

Yeah that Vandy game was pretty cold too but it was manageable...

I went to undergrad at the University of Wyoming, so I'm kind of laughing at the "coldest" games listed here. In Laramie, any home game after mid October was almost guaranteed to be below freezing. But forget the air temperature. It was the wind that really made it unbearable. (Why is it so windy in Wyoming? Because Nebraska sucks and Utah blows! yuk, yuk, yuk) I was at a game against Colorado State in November '94 (?) with air temp in the low 30's. But the winds were gusting up to 40 mph. I remember they reported the wind chill factor was at -3.

We had a day once in January that was -40 with an estimated -70 wind chill. They cancelled classes for that one.

Hottest was UT/UCLA in 1997 in Pasadena. I think it was 95. Unusually miserable for LA. I was in full sun on those awful aluminum bleachers for 3 hours. But definitely not as bad as 95 degrees in Gainesville or Knoxville. At least the Vols won.

this site has some data on the coldest and hottest stadiums in college football:

13 Vandy was my kids first game.

Hottest football game I've ever attended for UT is Montana 2011. Hottest game period was Ole Miss-Bama 2016. The humidity was the worst because of off and on showers and the sun coming back out.

The coldest game was 2000 Memphis game at the Liberty Bowl. Temp was in the upper 30s, windy, and it was a steady cold rain. I just sat there and froze to my seat.
