The coldest game for me is when we flew to Missouri two years ago. It was snowing/sleeting during the game. The tiger still went to the student section and sprayed them with the water hose.

With the temperature exceeding 93 degress in Orlando today, heat index of 110 degrees with 100% humidity thrown in for good measure, a co-worker who's also a UT alum and I were comparing notes on the hottest (and coldest) CFB game we've attended.

Ice at our feet never melted at Cotton Bowl game against K-State and because we were (and did) loose.

The coldest I've ever been to was a playoff game between Gallatin HS and Germantown in the early 80s. It was in the single digits. I couldn't feel a thing. The entire Germantown coaching staff came out for pregame warmups wearing shorts and tee shirts. I knew we were in trouble. They trounced up. I think it was like 38-3.

I don't remember the exact temperature, but the game in South Bend in 1991 was pretty cold.

Well they are a special type of stupid up there. Maybe they belong in the SEC after all. Lol

Hottest was 1997 UCLA at Rose Bowl. They ran out of water before halftime. Half the UT fans stayed out of stadium for second half. We all were directly in the sun entire game.

Coldest was 2003 Kentucky game..

The vendors were selling a hat full of ice for $5.00 at halftime in Rose Bowl. UCLA laid back fans were giving sun block to UT people. Many fans flew three thousand miles to the game but retreated to shade for second half. Brutal.

Hottest for me was 2003 vs Fresno St.

Sweated so much. 1 case of beer and zero trips to the bathroom. Actually had a kid spill a soda down my neck and I wasn't even mad.

Haven't had any truly cold experiences.

I remember that game, extremely well. I painted a metal barn roof while listening to the game. Sweat bout 20 lbs out. Fresno St scored late and covered the spread. The after game call in show had a caller that called in, and I ****ck you not, asked if Fulmer intentially let them score as not beat the spread!!

I was in Starkville in 1990. I had forgotten that but I agree, that was the hottest game I have ever attended. About 95 degrees and % humidity!

Germantown used to have some really good teams up until the early 00s

Coldest: At Mizzou in 2015. I'll agree with the others... it was freakin cold. Had an odd vibe out the night before as well. If I recall the students were on fall break so the bars/downtown was pretty empty.

Hottest: At Florida in 2015. They made a killing off me buying ice that day. Ha

Hottest was last years Florida game. Section DD. Ugh.

Coldest was Broncos @ Patriots in 2013. Sunday night game. Started tailgating at noon. The "coolers" were actually keeping the beers from freezing. No beer in the stadium because all the tap lines were frozen. Broncos were up 24-0 at half. Patriot tied it, so it went to overtime. Game didn't end until after midnight. Back to parking lot and fired up the grill for a midnight snack and outta the parking lot at 2am. Long, cold day.

Mine isn't entirely fair since I went to Arizona State for undergrad. We played Washington at home in late August/early September 1996. It was 102 degrees at kickoff at 7 PM.

Can't think of a really cold one.

I got a chance to spend a week in Phoenix on a sales trip. I made it a point to get over to the Tempe area to see the campus and stadium. Very cool place. It was in November and a week before the rivalry game against U of AZ. Wildcat fans had painted the sign on the butte with their colors. I would love to see a game there. Maybe a home and home in the future??? I would be there for sure.

October 12, 1985, T Rob and UT vs Gators. Heat measured 120+ on playing surface and is one of hottest game measured at Florida Field. To make matters hotter, I was right in the middle of Gator student section, though a couple of Bacardi and Cokes made it better. 17-10 loss for the good guys made for a long ride back to Knoxville.

I couldn't have guessed that after the loss and TRob going down a few weeks later, that we'd have one of the most magical seasons in UT history, with Miami victory as the exclamation point. Here's to hoping team 121 can channel their inner "no-name" 1985 VFL's by doing the unexpected. Go Vols!

Hottest: 1991 UCLA, 2003 @ UF, 2016 UF

Coldest:1993 @ UK, 2016 Mizzou, '85 Rutgers

I agree with the 16 Mizzou game. Man that was cold. It was 20 degrees at kick off and just kept getting colder.
Even with several extra layers I couldn't keep warm. It would have been worse if we lost. Thank God we finally broke the Missouri streak.

The Spring Game a few years back was pretty chilly. It had rained early in the morning IIRC. The MCB against UNC was pretty chilly as well towards the end.

Most of the early games in September are always warm. None in particular stick out above another though.

I went to Phillip Fulmers last game against Kentucky in 2008... it was pretty cold and windy, rained most of the game. Makers mark was my antifreeze and thankfully I wore my good old gore-tex jacket.

September game against Duke in 19..whatever. Still had astro truf. Hotter than blue blazes and froze to death in Little Rock when PM was a junior I think. Cold and wind out of the north. Froze my butt off.

Going to see Carolina at Green Bay. That is Dec 17. I bet I come back with less butt than you. But I bet I will be better dressed than you were.

Hottest was GA Tech vs Mercer in the season opener last year.

Lol...I was there too. Absolutely miserable in the upper deck.

I've seen it mentioned, but the 91 UCLA game was bar none the most insanely hot game I've ever attended. Coldest I've ever been was the TN/SC game in Columbia. I don't think it ever got out of the mid 30s. I remember how crazy it was driving over and seeing snow accumulation on the side of the road....in October?!?
