Least we’ll never hear him say “We done some good things in the THROW GAME”! Knee Deep in the Heupel!!! Starship reference!
Just can’t wait to see an offense that can score some points!!!!!!!

Better PC than Butch and Pruitt (low bar), not nearly as good as Dooley's

As long as he's a better coach than those 3.

Did our AD contradict himself and talk out of both sides of his mouth when talking about who was offered the job or am I just confused about what I heard?

Press conferences, fans‘ opinions, pundits‘ reactions.....it really doesn’t matter. It all comes down to the same acid test that the last several coaches have failed.....
Just. Win. Football. Games
And we will not have any idea of how that will go until it happens. So......we wait1611772722089.gif

We would find something to complain about no matter who we hired. The hire is made, we are not the "DREAM JOB" we all want to believe we are and at this point we need to accept that and move on. He meets the criteria that was set forth by the Administration and it appears he was the best choice that fit that criteria. Lets all hope he succeeds and we get or winning tradition back because that is the best we can hope for at this point in time.

The biggest thing we lack at Tennessee is player development. Botch Jones would recruit players based on their ranking, not how they would fit into our system. Botch was so smart he let Kamara ride the pine. Pruitt and co couldn't develop a QB if their lives depended on it. Even worse, defensive development was crap. The only folks that really shined were players whose natural talent and ability overcame the sheer incompetence of our former coaches. Let us all hope and pray that CJH understands player development. He needs to understand teaching players. We truly have not developed anyone since Fulmer.

Beggars can’t be choosers*
We have a New Head Football Coach
Vol Nation, but he’s starting out behind the 8 ball, so let’s get behind him and Pray Pray Pray......... wouldn’t it be nice to actually be competitive again

He eeked out a 3 point win in that Presser......but he did not kick a field goal from the one yard line, he punched it in........

They shredded so much that now we are the new missouri. Things are looking up. We are now on missouri's level.
Agree that getting to Missouri's level is not the ultimate goal, but from where we are now, getting to Missouri's level would be a step in the right direction. Ultimate goal is to compete for SEC championships but that will require a 4 or 5 step "program" not a quick fix. I understand everyones impatience but all that will get you is more frustration and unhappiness.

If he gets the right defensive coach this guy will win here! Top athletes will want to play in his offense.
