I agree that they are waiting until after signing day which also would probably imply Kevin Steele not being retained.It’s not like they’d be stabbing Auburn or any other school in the back by announcing his future.

So how would it work if some UCF assistants are planning to follow Heupel, but are yet to sign contracts,
and have guys they've recruited who are ready to sign with UCF, but who they would like to have follow them to Tennessee?

UCF assistants are already here. CJH said he would not go after UCF recruits, we only have 2 or 3 spots open I believe.

Only one I know of is Glen Elarbee for o-line and some chick with 80's hair as a recruiting coordinator.

I've heard Elarbee, Golesh, and Halzle are all coming with him from UCF.

I think there's some question about being Kodi Burns from UCF (who he has just hired before he left) or retaining Tee. Osovet is another possible holdover as he interviewed at UCF (I believe for the WR position that Burns filled). Could also bring Matt Merritt from UCF for RBs. Eddie Gran would be a home run hire for RBs.

As for defense, absolutely no idea. Probably no one from UCF I can say that much. I still think Steele ends up with the job as DC. Garner as DL coach makes sense even if we don't hire Steele. Kevin Simon would be a good hire for OLBs. Willie Martinez could come from UCF, but I'd put that under doubtful. Obviously the history is there though.

Isn’t Gran at KY? Unless he’s moved in, he's the Co-OC there. Why would he come here to coach RBs?
