I was going to post something about him too. He hasn't been a HC in a while and has to be hungry. I would be happy with that hire.

You're probably right. They give people like Pearl and Tressel multi-year show causes while Calipari just keeps on coaching even though every school he's ever been to have had their records completely erased for the time he was there. How is that even possible?!?

We have one of the best coaches in college basketball waiting in the lobby. All we have to do is sign him up again.

Why not rehire a proven winner like Bruce Pearl instead of keeping a coach whose struggling to even make the NCAA tournament with loads of talent? C'mon guys, I may get flamed for this but none of this is acceptable. I know Tennessee basketball deserves better than this and I'm sure the fans deserve better too. It may be a risky hire but it's better than going to the NIT every year instead of the tournament.

From that list I'd take Frank because what he's done from the doghouse has probably improved the Nets more than Jason Kidd ever will as a coach. He's also a pro level strategizer. He's forgotten more about basketball than Jason Kidd will ever know.

What about Hoiberg from Iowa State?? Here's the deal about him though. He may not consider UT a step up from corn as far as your Hybrid can drive. He may have his sights set on the Bucks, Orlando, the Knicks/Nets, etc. I wouldn't blame him, he know's his stuff.

Why not shoot for the moon and hire someone better than Pearl? And there's mucho plenty out there. Pearl wont go down in history as being a genius coach, but he's always available for BBQ's and he'll paint his body whatever color you like.

Thanks coach Martin for that insightful look at things from a loser. Pearl has already made his mark in coaching. What have you done?
