That's my man, but he bleeds BLUE DEVIL. That man is the finest coach the planet may ever know, especially for young people. I'm so surprised Nichols didn't go Duke. Missed opportunity for the best coaching you will get in this Hemisphere along with 4 years paid at Duke. He's taken the Knight coaching tree to new levels.

Hoiberg is an ISU alum, and played there in the 90's. He isn't leaving for Tennessee. Not even worth a call really.

Howland and Richard Pitino would be high on my list. Pitino is looking like a star in the making, and he was hired pretty cheap by Minnesota and has a relatively small but out.

He's only making $1.2 million and his buyout from Minnesota is $1.5 million, for comparison Martin is making $1.35 million this year.

I like the young coach hire, and he has major name recognition, I think it would excite the fanbase more than any other candidate in that price range.

I like him too. I watched Minnesota play earlier this year and thought he was a really good coach.

I don't think we will be hiring a new coach anytime soon. Not till after next year. I just don't think the AD will pull the trigger after this season. Here is my top 3.

1. Petrino jr.
2. Howland
3. Will Wade (assuming this is after next season. He's going to be a great coach. Will have UTC dancing this year and next IMO. Will also be a cheap hire.)

Pitino Jr the only guy I agree on that list with. Howland will have already been hired, and Wade will not have enough experience IMO. I don't see him taking UTC to the dance this year, but if he does that's impressive. Still need to see him somewhere better than the SOCON before getting to the SEC though IMO.

I've seen them play several times. He's got those boys bought into his system and they are playing great ball. If thy don't this year, they will dance next year

If asked I am sure he would. I just want to get back to winning again. I never used to feel like we were beaten before the game began regardless who we played when Bruce was here and that was a good feeling. Now every game is a question mark.

I'm with you. I just don't think they'll hire Bruce back. I loved him while he was here but I just don't see it.

I agree, I just would have to see more from him than possibly 1 tourney appearance from the SOCON.

1. Smart - make him your first call and make him tell you no. VCU can't be his dream job.
2. Howland - I know he's more of a defensive guy, but you can't argue with his track record.
3. Frank - I know his NBA record is mediocre at best, but I think recruits would respond to someone with his NBA background.
