Do you realize the paucity of logic contained in what your say? Why are the players “overwhelming black”? I’ll give you a clue—-because they are best at what they do. Why are the coaches currently all white? Same answer. Skin color? Phfft. In sports, ability always wins the day. As it SHOULD.

Not at all disingenuous. The SEC has a very long history of racism. Black people getting a chance in coaching has been an issue since the sport was created. This is not a meritocracy. Again, there are 0 black head coaches in this conference*. How many black coordinators? There is very little activism going on to change this obvious issue. It is inexcusable and an eye sore in 2021.

People are writing Albert off because of who he is but I guarantee he knows more than the majority of this board in regards to how the athletic department works. Who is the most prominent black person in UT’s AD? Trey Smith’s sister? Anyways, those who harp on a single person and are incapable of seeing the bigger point are making excuses imo.

If not I’ll crack this egg of knowledge on you; FOURTEEN. Fourteen HC coaching jobs. Here’s some more free info for you; 60% of this country is white, followed by. . . HISPANICS at 18% and black around 12%. Let me ask you something; why are you so racist against Hispanics? Shouldn’t you be virtue signaling for them? Tee's not qualified. Period. End of story about Tee. Franklin and Elliott are qualified and were given consideration (apparently) and declined.

One doesn't change systemic racism by suggesting a boycott because an unqualified coach didn't get an interview. One changes systemic racism by encouraging those who want to be a head coach become qualified. As has happened for Franklin, and will happen for Elliott, if you're qualified...... interviews will happen and you can decline or accept.

I'm not suggesting race isn't an issue. It is sometimes. It's not an issue if you're just not qualified and trying to make it one, as AH is, fails and alienates people from wanting to talk about it as you can see from this thread.

Fight for legit causes when they arise. Don't manufacturer causes just to get the topic "out there."

I agree with some of this. Again, I am not dwelling on Albert or UT here. There is a much bigger issue that needs to be addressed immediately.

I sure as hell hope Tee didn't plant this discontent. For some reason it kinda feels off a bit. Call me a conspiracy theorist but seems to be convenient timing for the race card to be played. Hmmmmm

At the end of the day though, doesn't it really just boil down to math? There are what, 130 FBS college football programs in the country and something like 11% of them are led by an African American head coach. Extrapolate that to the US population, where African Americans make up what, a little over 12%? OK, so it's a LITTLE lower than the US Census I'll grant you. But it's not that far off. Isn't it somewhat fair to say the reason there are so few AA college head coaches is because there's just not nearly as many QUALIFIED candidates to choose from to begin with as there are white candidates?
