No... Not young.... I go back to the Doug Dickey era. I was only referring to the Jeremy Pruitt era. I think prior to the Pruitt era there was still a faint flicker of hope...
What a wonderful person AH is. I believe he set some record with scoring an 11 on the Wonderlick test. He is only surpassed in sportsmanship by people like Vontaze Burfict, Antonio Brown and Ndamukong Suh (same footwork). His commitment to philanthropy was exemplary. Through the NFL disciplinary fines system (which all proceeds go to charity) AH donated an amazing $879,558.00 during his career. And to think that James Harrison could only account for $223,529.00! Big Al also was a fan favorite of the Eagles, Giants and Cowboys while he was under contract with the WFT. AH effectively neutralized $34,752,941.00 in salary and salary cap space for Washington as he made the business decision to rest his body for retirement rather than potentially sacrificing himself through honest effort on the grid iron. And in support of his friend and former QB Tee Martin, he understands there is no reasonable argument for allowing Tee to be hired as HC at UT at this point in time. AH will not let facts stand in his way. He does what so many others do when there is no reasonable grievance. He cries racism! I think this act fits perfectly with the well documented history of his accomplishments, intellect and behavior.
