I agree and the fact that was stated is that the university was basically racist as stated by the poster i was answering to. I told them to prove that statement ! damn dude!

maybe Tee isn't HC material ; On December 27, 2018, after a 5-7 season, Martin became a casualty of a staff shakeup and was fired from the position.

Expecting to be interviewed and seriously considered for the HC job at a major SEC program, with no HC experience and very little coordinator experience in 2021...quite frankly is asking too much. Especially from somebody who's resume isn't exactly what I would consider stellar to begin with. He needs to go be a head coach at an FCS or group of 5 school first before he can expect to be seriously considered for jobs like this.

What a load of crap. What happened to picking the best person regardless of skin color. I'm so sick of the stupid ****. I guess MLK, Rosa Parks, and Medgar Evers didn't accomplish a damn thing since everybody is so racist. SMH

Wouldn't that be where the system used race as the basis to give one person preference over another in things like admissions or scholarships etc? Ahhh, yes, this makes sense to what the guy was talking about now.

Except we know implicit and explicit biases exist.
The SEC needs help with diversity. This is not an old issue. The conference has just been ridiculously slow in catching up.

There are still 0 black coaches in the SEC. How many black coordinators?
Yet the majority of the players are overwhelmingly black. This is inexcusable.

I am a UT fan not an SEC one. Haynesworth is talking out his ass on this and you know it. We know that two AA candidates were preferred over our current hire. This is dumb.

My initial comment was regarding the SEC. What are the other teams excuse? Why the dearth of black leadership in general?

Then his issue should be with the SEC. Not UT. And advocates for AA coaches would be smart to call him out on this. It hurts the end goal to allow dumb people to make dumb comments. He looks like an idiot bc it clearly isn't applicable here.
