In past years I've felt UT coaches have misused some players. Why didn't David Martin play TE like; this is the position he plays in the pros. Why didn't Jabari Davis play FB like he did at the very beginning of his career when there was an injury to the starter. Now with the glut of talent at TB and only one ball to carry, I would like to see Hardesty at FB.

He's bigger than 200, and there is such a thing as gaining weight. I've been doing it ever since I got married. Troy Fleming was not that big when he played FB.

If anyone would make the move to FB it would be Foster and that won't happen. If he makes a position change, which he won't, he would be moved to the DS. Doubt that happens because he has already played this year and would only have 2 years to learn the position and would waste his talent away until he picked up the schemes and such. We have a good FB/HB/TE in Brown this year. Cooper will be a rFrosh next year and Ben Bartholemew is coming in next year. That is 2 FB's in the non FB system that we use right now.

FB is an attitude...not a weight...Shawn Bryson is a perfect example of that...

...Greg Amsler is a perfect example too

To back you up even further, Hardesty was originally thought to be a CB when he first came on campus

Wait..wait...hold up a second..glut of talent at TB? Man I seem to be missing something. A hundred yard rusher against USM and all of a sudden we are USC?

Also something people are overlooking is if Coker screws up again, which most think he will, he is gone. That leaves us w/ Foster, Hardesty, and Creer. Still good depth, but if any of them goes out it is down to two guys. Something else to think about.

Anyone realize we're not using a fb at all in this variation of the offense?

Why do you sound surprised....last fullback I remember getting anything worth mentioning was Greg Amsler.....FLeming got some work but he usually fumbled or just totally missed the pass altogether

I thought Fleming played fairly consistently and made some decent catches. Anderson was big but inconsistent.

I'd take Anderson's one good year over Fleming's zero good years. The only things Fleming could do were block poorly, catch balls for a 1 yard gain, get tackled at first contact, complain about being a fullback, and talk on his cell phone.

Umm, I'm not surprised at the fact we do not have a fullback but rather the fact that so few "fans" knew this...lol

Our TEs and FBs are interchangable in our offense. They are using our TE as a fullback, particularly when Cottam was healthy and we could go 2 TE sets.

Also, I'm not quite getting why everyone wants to annoint Creer as the next Chuck Webb because he made one spin move. He may end being good, but we don't know yet.

Coker is our best; and without him playing, we are pretty much dead average at TB in the SEC.

KY, GA, SC, BAMA, ARK, LSU, MISS all have RBs at least as good as ours. Some of them have more than one better than ours.
