ESPN - LaMarcus Coker Stats, News, Photos - Tennessee Volunteers - NCAA College Football

please, notice Coker's stats against Georgia, Cal, Arkansas, and Penn St. It is not a lack of consistency, it is a lack of carries.

Felix Jones is averaging 4.5 ypc more than Darren McFadden this year and averaged almost 2 ypc more last year. Is he better? More talented? Change of pace backs often have gaudy ypc with only a few carries but can't do it when they have to carry the load. I think Coker's games against Memphis and Kentucky are more instructive as to how he would play if he was the featured back. Not exactly powerhouse defenses there either.

Bryson was the most under utilized player in TN football history. He was the fastest player on our team and he played FB at like 230lbs. Hardesty is not even in the same pall park as Bryson.

I just wanna see Hardesty get some more PT!
can he play WR! he sure can take a hit! and he's not scared to get hit! i could see him playing as a WR or a safety if he took the time to learn it..
i personally couldnt see him playing too much FB

That may well be true. However, at this point, it is merely your assertion.

"I think Coker's game...how he would play if..."

We can all venture our guesses, but some of us who believe him to be the most talented can only base that off of what we have in fact seen. It may not end up being true.

Also, why is Coker -- or Jones -- a change of pace back? Because Coker is faster? I thought that was a good thing. It also doesn't denigrate Foster to say that Coker offers more game breaking potential. One doesn't have to be bad for the other to be good.

he is very well liked by his teammates and is has a great attitude. he loves to go airborne at the goal line that's for sure.

Who says Hardesty can block worth a crap? Chris Brown, Cottam and Stocker have been fine at the H-back when we need a fullback so far. If we move someone to FB it wont be our 200lb RB. Everyone was saying that with Foster and he is looking to be a fine TB. We should use our players how they help us best not how it'll help them best at the next level. You may see a new emergence of a FB with Bartholomew but he is a prototype H-back.

I belive that this has been talked about already but there are NO scholarship FB's on the team.Ryan Hill is the only true Fb.
Kevin Cooper is. I think Raveiz was until we took the FB out of our system. I think the H-back has been working great so far with Brown, and Stocker. I dont see why we would switch it up. If we did, it definitely wouldnt be for a 200lb RB.
