Gun control debate (merged)

And if/when the National Firearms Act is rightly ruled unconstitutional? Then what will your argument be?
We need more reasonable and rational judges.

If it continues the trend of getting worse, Hog is going to get his wish of an actual ammendment.

That will be far worse for the gun nuts than agreeing to some rational and reasonable restrictions that are compatible with 2a.

Because the more someone has to pay for an illegal product, the less that will be sold.

You’re ignoring the important fact here. If kids have random people buy guns for them, unlike beer, the guns are tied to the random persons name.

Thank god. A perfect example of a rational and reasonable law that does some good.

Far more regulated than automobiles????? Are you nuts?
I would be happy to see a system where people had to bring their guns in annually to be tested and re-certified.

You think it’s a good idea to transport a million guns per day and carry them into government facilities so that government workers can determine whether or not those guns are to be certified by the government?

Not really. Just responding to the guns are more regulated than cars nonsense.

Are you claiming increasing prices do not decrease demand and consumption?

It just makes people spend more. Look at soda taxes, cigarette taxes, alcohol taxes, gas taxes, etc. Consumption does go down it just causes people to spend more so the government can waste more money.

So at that point you will have the support needed to amend the Constitution?

What will this new amendment that will be “far worse for the gun nuts” look like?

So you’re freaking out over something that isn’t an actual problem because once again, 5 years later, and you still know very, very little about guns
You still have a debilitating lack of processing skills.

If a gun purchased in GA, illegally resold, and then used in a crime in Tulsa can be easily traced back to the original purchaser in GA, then that is a national registry. Which I'm all for.

That’s already a thing. So once again, you don’t understand what you’re talking about

No. Less than cost.
Why would someone purchase a new gun with the intention of immediately turning around and selling it for less than they paid.

They wouldn't. You know they wouldn't.

And you know I'm not talking about Buford from Wartburg selling his 5 year old gun to his nephew.

I'm claiming that's a stupid claim.

It’s not real. We have the most guns in the world, by far. Yet are below the world average for homicide. White Americans own the most guns by far, and commit homicide at a far lower rate.

Every year in this country we have more and more guns. Yet from 1990-2017 homicides decreased every year despite increases in the number of guns in society every year.

There’s no correlation between demand for guns and homicides.

Well that seems to contradict everything form econ 101. But I'll remember that.

If things were to get so bad that an amendment was the only recourse, then it would basically repeal the 2a as it is currently being interpreted.
